Mazdaowner Moderator September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 Thanks for your adv. I forgot to add Yeo. Buy a spray can of Pylox CLEAR spray paint. What is this for you may ask, spray onto the top of the paper address label, just a light spray will to. To prevent the ink from running if water or whatever fluid gets onto the top of the package. A light spray, nothing heavy, one can approx can last 100+ sprays. From experience, as I used to send out things for my friends in the US,OZ,NZ. Ysc3 Twincharged September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 Zebra mainly for high volume industrial printing.. Brother I dunno.. Zebra quality is there and used in commercial businesses like warehouse to print high volume package delivery labels. The original supplies may be more ex n u got choice of direct thermal printing or the thermal transfers... print quality is good and can last the rough handling... from insider news.... you speak so highly of it ... and i have just thrown one "relatively new condition" away !! shud be working (can power on and light and rollers working) but no one knows how to configure it ... :)

1fast1 Supersonic September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 (edited) this shud be cheaper, faster and cleaner. But slower than spraying, I'm sure. Also, the width of the tape may not be sufficient to cover the broader labels. It all comes down to your daily volume and how much help you have. Your thrown away one is desktop or tabletop model? I seen some Eltron models still in use locally n they are the precursor of the current zebra models.. More like last 10 over years Liao.. Disclaimer:I not working in zebra or selling their products. Just hear hear from frens nia.. Happily1986 5th Gear September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 this shud be cheaper, faster and cleaner. zim chwee, your ink sure smudge, will it not? You are able to use cellulose tape to create a more even and thorough waterproof coating than atomised aerosol propellants?
Mazdaowner Moderator September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 this shud be cheaper, faster and cleaner. Not really, try covering a A4 size address label.

Geboz Clutched September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 My selection tend to be more on Brother printer as they have a very goods support service centre. No idea about Zebra which is well accepted in US. Zebra is very durable, and the industry models used in my company rarely need any kind of servicing. Each printer can last for > 10 years with heavy printing of a few hundred labels per day. However Zebra is very expensive, have your evaluated TSC printers ( http://www.tscprinters.com/ )? They are very cheap. Below is a quotation I received recently for your reference. TSC TTP-244CE SGD 550/unit TSC TTP-244 PLUS SGD 450/unit TSC TTP-343C SGD 750/unit I have not used Brother printers before, therefore no comments. Do keep in mind that both Zebra and TSC printer requires a label design program, and maybe also need a print program to work with your current applications. Other things you may like to consider : your print volume, Direct Thermal or Thermal Transfer prints, barcode printing. Disclaimer: I don't work for TSC/Zebra/Brother, and am not selling printers. I am just a user speaking from experience.

Ysc3 Twincharged January 5 Share January 5 bought this in november 2025 ... very versatile little personal label printer. i have the Casio EZ label printer but it could only print in english. was hunting for the Brother label printer which could print in chinese but not easy to find locally. then came across this and bought it on TB. Almost half the price from local sites. this solved my problem for printing chinese words and it can also print simple graphics too. i have been printing the name labels for my son's english school books and stationery so now i can print a label for his CL2 books as well !
