  3. i paid for my season parking label thru AXS but have not received the label. interestingly, my friend's car (a visitor) got fine while i didn't. does this mean there's no need to display parking label for residents? or do i smell a loophole?

  5. Does anyone know if it is possible to apply for a temporary handicapped parking label if I have to use a crutch/walking aid for just a few months? I underwent surgery for a fractured ankle a mth plus back and have been on crutches since. Now on the road to recovery, while I'm still unable to stand with full weight on both legs, I have regained enough ankle flexibility and strength to drive comfortably. So I have just started to drive, after some 'test drives' the past few days to ensure I am able to drive safely and properly. However, at the moment, I still have to use 2 crutches for support and to move around. I have asked my doc about the average time I need to spend on crutches. He said that it can be about 6 mths for full recovery. Even after I am able to put weight on both feet to stand without pain, the next few months I will still have to use either a walking stick or one crutch to support my injured foot when I can begin walking. It's definitely going to be a problem if I can't get a lot on the ground floor of the MSCP, which is usually the case. And the MSCPs at my place and my parents' do not have any lift. I wonder if they issue the handicapped parking label for temporary cases like mine. Also, where and how to apply? No indication on HDB or LTA webby. Does anyone have had any similar experience to share?
  6. Hi , I am currently looking for one of the above mentioned - if you have experience using a Brother or Zebra label printer can you kindly offer yr pro and con views. TIA
  7. With reference to this post: http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?showto...t&p=2929878 Is it true that IUs without the E|R|P label on the bracket are illegal? Anyone went for inspection without the label and passed inspection or is it a ploy by shops to fleece us? Let's discuss.
  8. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...capped_lot.html Quite obvious the GTR has a handicapped-driver label, so ignore the original complaint. But this other post caught my eye (quoting it verbatim):
  9. I heard we can apply for the above at a discounted rate. Anybody knows whats the condition and how much ? Appreciate your enlightenment.
  10. July 3, 2008 CNG labelling: Just whose rule is it? I CONVERTED my saloon car to a compressed natural gas (CNG)-run vehicle recently. Upon receiving my vehicle, I found two poorly designed green CNG labels pasted on the front and rear bumpers and was told by the workshop that they are a Land Transport Authority (LTA) requirement. The workshop staff also cautioned me that drivers of CNG vehicles without the labels could be fined. However, lately I realised that white CNG Mercedes taxis do not bear such labels. I called LTA to inquire and was told that it does not have a regulation on CNG labelling. LTA said it was a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) requirement for fire-fighting purposes. Upon further clarification with the SCDF, I was told it, too, does not have such a regulation. The officer suggested it was Spring Singapore that requested the CNG labelling. I hope the relevant authorities can confirm if there is such a regulation. I would also like to inquire if there is a better way of indicating a CNG vehicle, such as number-plates of a different colour or a properly-designed decal. 11. May i know where to get "This Car is under Surveilance" (or similar) label? Any place to get dummy camera too?
  12. Hi ppl, Can the old season parking label be replaced when i receive the new one? I find it a damn hassle to remember to put it on the 30th or 31st every month... Putting 2 labels on my windscreen is also an eyesore. Since i pay by giro and it can be seen on the label, is it necessary to follow the label's effective date? Because, theoretically speaking, in order to have my giro set up, i would have to be parking at the particular location for abt 2 mths at least right (which renders my previous label to be valid)? thks.
