Any panamera owner can advise me how to change the setup so audio will not auto start when the key is inserted? Also, what is the tire pressure for the standard 19 inches tires? Read the manual, it suggested 34psi on all 4? The front and rear are staggered, ok to same pressure? 34psi low compared to the recommened tire pressure on similar tire setup on BMW. Pls help. Thanks.

I think there should be a simple off switch for the audio system.

 

For tyre pressure, 34 sounds a bit low.

What are you tyre specs

Front 235/35/19

Rear 295/30/19

 

I believe you should do 37 for front and 39 for rear.

That would put the tyres somewhat midzone pressure.

Thanks. For the audio, I still cant find the setup to off the auto start (been trying for months). Also, can't make sport mode as default too. So must change to sport mode and change suspension every I take this ride. For the tire, I don't understand why the manual recommends low pressure for summer tires which should be the same for Singapore tires. I was also thinking of 35 & 37 setup to reduce tire wear. But worry whether it will make the ride too bouncy. Asked AD but the SA sounded not sure too. Thanks again for the advice.

Sport mode cannot be default.

Its the same for every other car with sports mode, i know.

In summer due to heat, pressures will rise an expand so no need to pump too much.

 

Forget about asking them anything lah, better you ask me! Haha

I like the outer look of 991 especially the classic looking p o r s c h e at the back. Sadly, why do they change the interior centre console to Panamera look? It look so much like a family car now.

The panamera is nice to drive but parking and entry to certain car parks can be daunting. So it can be a family car that can be quite restrictive on venue I can drive to. I also take responsibility that the limitation is due my driving skill. Depending on the venue, my family may end up using the other smaller, narrower but more agile car.

If you can manage the CLS, you can manage panamera, albeit 970 spontaneous torque at low speed. I quite weak at judging turning radius, that why I can't park head in. Servotronic is a standard for me. With the porsche model you currently have, the 970 may be a disappointment. Also, the center console in the back seat scratches quite easily. Kinda painful for me as rear passengers tend to place their phone or hand carried stuffs there.

Same goes for BMw and Mercy. I guess Singapore climate especially the heat is bane to such materials.

 

My interior trim has been resprayed piano black so it no longer scratches or turn gooey.....hurray.

Singapore weather heat & humIdity are quite damaging to the console. My frd maser console "melted" as it was regularly parked partially exposed to sunlight. Lucky, Hong Seh changed the console as it was still under warranty. Now he parked it at an underground carpark. Also, he seldom drives the maser. Smtimes, things spoil bec under use. Doubt Porsche SG covers "sticky" console under its warranty program. Anyway, have a good evening.
