Tyre is the only contact point for car to road, get a gòod set of tyre.

Primacy 4 is a very good all rounder.

Forget the Tourado.

Anyone has tried the new Michelin Pilot Sport SUV?

Wanted some FR against similar tyre like Latitude Sport 3.

Also, usually which tyre shop has good pricing for Michelin?

Is your car a SUV?

I thought the Yokohama tyre more suited for SUVs should be the Yokohama Bluearth XT AE61...🙄🙄

Anyone used bluearth xt AE61 and have any comments / feedback on this tyre?

I have it on my new acquired vehicle (a Japanese CUV/SUV).

I don't have any preceding tyres of this class to compare with. But currently I feel that it performs great; very quiet on smooth road, minimal noise on coarse surfaces, handling and cornering is very good too. Wet road performance is also very good. This is my personal opinion of the tyre on use on my car.

I get this tyre when I swap out the stock rims for bigger stock rims and hence tyres had to change too.

The closest is Bridgestone Alenza 001. But as the Bridgestone was launched in 2016/2017 and the Yokohama Bluearth was launched in or around June 2020, I went for the newer model.

I had looked in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV for too bad didn't have the required size.

@DOBIEMKZ GOT confused  CX3 and CX30  same?    CX30 Tire szie 215/65/16 or 215/60/16?

@Roberttan
They are not the same; CX3 based on Mazda 2 while CX30 based on Mazda 3.

CX30 tyre size is 215/65R16 or 215/55R18.

However when I upsized my rims at a wheel & tyre shop, I chose Yokohama Bluearth XT tyre size 225/55R18, because the size of 215/55R18 only comes in "XL" (Extra Load) variant and no Standard Load variant, and so I think that its side wall would be too stiff and the ride might be harsher and noisier. Also that size is just only about 1.5% off the default rolling circumstance hence the impact on speedometer reading is minimal and within acceptance threshold.

I had also considered the Bridgestone Alenza 001 and Bridgestone Ecopia H/L001 of size 215/55R18 but these also only come in Extra Load variants and no Standard Load variants.

There are brands like Toyo and Dunlop with the size of 215/55RR18 in Standard Load but I think I don't like those brands.

@DOBIEMKZ how is it when one upsize the width remains the same?

Your current chosen size of 225/55/18 is indeed a more logical set up.

Surprisingly that's possible between the sizes of 215/65R16 and 215/55R18, the increase in wheel/rim diameter is matched by the decrease in the tyre profile. :)

For the Yoko and BS models that I mentioned above, the 225/55/18 is cheaper and lighter than the 215/55/18/ :)

Actually i was wrong in my initial assumption of the correct size of 225/55/18.

The better suggested one should be 225/50/18 which seems like an odd size.

That size of 225/50/18 is more expensive.
