Darthx123 Neutral Newbie June 2, 2013 Share June 2, 2013 workshop nitrogen dont think also very pure nitrogen, besides still have to go to the specific place to top up nitrogen, whereas i usually topup air at anywhere 3 - 4 weeks once
Pms 3rd Gear June 2, 2013 Share June 2, 2013 Normal air increase by 4psi when heated up. Car manufacturers calculate the tyre pressures on normal air. So do you guys on nitrogen take that into consideration when pumping your tyres?
Jerichol 2nd Gear June 2, 2013 Share June 2, 2013 (edited) Myth Busted Same with car spoiler...do they really help other than for the look since we usually will not travel fast enough for it to become useful/functional. Better off with a struct bar then. Edited June 2, 2013 by Jerichol

Track 2nd Gear June 2, 2013 Share June 2, 2013 I prefer to just keep pumping nitro to get as much oxygen n other gasses out if e tire. Cos when e pressure drops..its mostly e oxygen that seeps out. So after u pump a few times....u gonna hv almost 100% nitro n e pressure wil hardly drop anymore. If u keep pumping air....yr pressure wil keep dropping every couple of weeks. Defeats e purpose of pumping nitro in e first place. Thks. But troublesome to keep going to designated place for nitrogen. I pump air weekly ... Pisces69 6th Gear June 2, 2013 Share June 2, 2013 Thks. But troublesome to keep going to designated place for nitrogen. I pump air weekly ... I also needed to pump air every week till i got mostly nitro in my tires. Then only need to pump once every 2-3 MONTHS. My nitro i pump in jb n i pass e place every week i go jb so very convenient fr me.

So do you guys on nitrogen take that into consideration when pumping your tyres? The pressure u pump is e optimum pressure. If u pump nitro it wont increase in pressure as u drive cos nitro is more stable than air.
Nzy Twincharged June 2, 2013 Share June 2, 2013 The pressure u pump is e optimum pressure. If u pump nitro it wont increase in pressure as u drive cos nitro is more stable than air. If you watched the episode on fifth gear about nitrogen filled tires they showed that the pressure also increases with nitrogen only.
Pisces69 6th Gear June 3, 2013 Share June 3, 2013 If you watched the episode on fifth gear about nitrogen filled tires they showed that the pressure also increases with nitrogen only. Ya i saw but fr high performance racing e increase sud b higher. Fr normal driving it might b only very slight. Plus wh nitro...i dun need to go top up e air so often. Thats my main consideration. Beehive3783 Turbocharged June 3, 2013 Share June 3, 2013 I never saw the need to pump nitrogen for my tyres. And who can prove that the nitrogen that they pumped into their tyres is real nitrogen?
Ericongy 3rd Gear June 3, 2013 Share June 3, 2013 I never saw the need to pump nitrogen for my tyres. And who can prove that the nitrogen that they pumped into their tyres is real nitrogen? I duno how to prove if it is real or 100% nitrogen but I dun bother to find out coz it's a fact that my tyres pressure seldom drop since I started pumping what they claim as "nitrogen". Period. Newdrive 1st Gear June 3, 2013 Share June 3, 2013 (edited) Anyone knows where to pump nitrogen gas for tyres? I just changed tyres at AL tyres but they dun have nitrogen gas service. Seems it's economical to run on nitrogen gas than conventional air... Suggestions? weird... when i change my tyres and rim with ALTC... they give me free 10km tyre rotation + nitrogen top up leh... although i haven go there to top up nitrogen yet cos lazy to travel there just to pump haha Edited June 3, 2013 by Newdrive
