issue is most likely they coil up the patch antenna around the PCB. the patch antenna is simply a very long insulated cable with a square patch at the end.

 

following the plane of of polarisation rule,most routers are on omni directional duck feet antennas with vertical polarisation. so theoretically you can either string the patch cable vertically or coil it into a loop which is vertically upright like how WiFi antennas are in notebooks.

 

however you need to remove the casing to get to the PCB.

 

alternatively, you can try an Ethernet out OTG cable which let's you use Ethernet connectivity.

if you do insist on using WiFi, here is my WiFi performance as reference (about 1m with LoS)

 

Down: ~35Mbps

Up: ~40Mbps

Ping: ~11ms

 

Note : disable the WiFi sleep on idle feature. This implementation seems buggy. Personally I don't switch off my dongle as I don't feel comfortable switching on and off using the power switch at the power socket.

WiFi dongle? sorry the android kernel don't support. why would you want to plug in a WiFi dongle?

MK808b comes with inbuilt Bluetooth. Newer model in the lineup it seems.

Yes. As long as there is a HDMI port.

get this version is better..$10+ difference most

 

btw enhance your wireless channel to 4 or 11, will be better to receive

my dongle working OK but CPU speed always tio tiao 1Ghz nia don't know why.

 

BTW how you use dolphin browser to watch qvod? the latest version I download keeps telling me no flash support.

my wifi got a wall block in my study room, so signal abit weak..so use my laptop as hotspot..solve the issue..haha

 

heard can flash rom root it for enhancing wifi signal but dont wana waste time..haha

 

i use kuaibo for qvod,so working well, others movie apps abit cmi i feel

 

my problem is i stream website live soccer,sometimes like cannot work..dont know why

 

i wondering next month quad core will out bo..LOL

well my bundled rc12 uses RF. so still need receiver. i guess if got bluetooth wireless kb/mouse can use.
