Sleeper car

I happen to share the same carpark as this owner. The way he drives this car, is totally not a sleeper I tell you. Go down mscp, rev like he's in a hurry. Go up, rev. Straight road in mscp, rev. Out of mscp, rev

It does happen, my ex's dad bought a slk for his wife, I guess its driven a few times a year just out to near by for makan...

 

like tat, was servicing done over that few yrs?

maybe at 3k km mileage, even 1st servicing wasnt done but warranty expire leow [laugh]

Goes by mth, and there will be C&C personnel coming over to collect and service for them.

Don't think got any use la. Most people who are not car enthusiasts don't even know why got different numbers for the same model. lol. I doubt they will know a C350 is more powerful than a C180. In fact many of these people always see those cars with bodykits and weird modifications and they'll start thinking that must be a fast car. No wonder many people in Sg like to do those exterior mods that does nothing to improve performance.

 

I think you are right. But most would be able to at least deduce larger number means more powerful car. But with the Mercs n BMs nowadays its also kinda confusing. Most C Classes r c200 or c180, but even a c250 is a 2L inline4?

 

And its more confusing when you goup afew grades. The Class V6s for instance...a c300 (which is very rare here) has a 3.5L V6 which is the same as a c350...and i can only assume the difference is due maybe to the torgue, bhp or gears? I maybe wrong as both c300 and c350 r 7Gtronic.

 

Can anyone shed some light on this?

From what I notice among my group of female friends, they can't even tell the difference between 3 series or 5 series or C class and S class. To them they only recognise the badge. There was once we saw this Kia/hyundai with that audi logo infront and they also thought is audi.

Volvo are truly sleeper cars...most people think slow and boring family man driving it....without knowing what is within the engine bay...of cos not the 1600cc version...there are.many beast around.....driving slowly..

It looks like your average 320 from the outside.

But underneath is a 3l turbo with 400nm of torque.

Actually any turbo diesel van can be a sleeper van.

You can actually do a hill start in 2nd gear.

I think go look for those around 20yo almost all the same la. This group all from my class in poly 2-3 years ago. Maybe thats why I see lots of hondas in school. They all think the civic is a fast car.
