wow ! Age 60 already geriatrics and govt wants people to work till 67

Geriatricians only see above a certain age. In some hospitals it varies from 70-75 and above.

Ktph, cgh and ttsh all have well established geriatric departments.

Go with TTSH. Very comprehensive facilities there and convenient. It is just opposite the Emergency Department. Can direct drop-off at the door of the department and park at the carpark. All the tests are done there. Drugs are collected there directly too, there is a pharmacy counter in there. No need to walk to anywhere else to do blood test or go pharmacy. Used to bring my mum there for her half-yearly check-up.

You will need to go polyclinic for referral first. Walk-in, probably charged private patient rate.

The doctor that was seeing my mum at that time was Adjunct Associate Professor Leong Yi Onn, Ian. We did not pick him, it was the hospital who assigned him to my mum.

My mum displayed signs of dementia only after 80, after she stopped buying 4D and Toto. 😅

After 80 they all tend to forget things .... good things they can’t remember ; people’s faults is like in secure hard drive 🤪

With newer generations struck by lifestyle disease at a younger age, no surprise 60 will be the new criteria one day.
