Luckily most of my family's cars renewed in 2008 already when COE was very low. All renewed another 10 years although current COE still left a few year. Only left my own car haven't renew. If the COE ever drops below 40K I will renew. Or else just drive till COE ends and get another second hand car.

So when a car's COE is renewed before end of COE, do you get the remaining balance back to offset the new COE? Do you need to bid COE or jsut renew with LTA?

I think the elantra from mid to end 90s quite durable and good. I remember one of my friend told me before, if you want to buy used car, get the elantra. [:p]
