Roh96 6th Gear June 26, 2013 Share June 26, 2013 let me ask u this question, before the haze situation, do u do ur normal outdoor exercises?? Did u then, check the PM2,5 before heading out?? i can safely say almost all don't....its only after the haze situation then suddenly everyone is so anal about PM2.5. During those times before the haze came, do u reckon PM2.5 was below 40?? i don't tink so...... Exactly. Good point.

Ruriimasu 1st Gear June 26, 2013 Share June 26, 2013 +1. Point of exercising is to get fitter or reap its many health benefits. no point being gung-ho and inhale in bad quality air which runs counter clockwise to original intention. i confess i am an exercise addict, but when the haze was crazily visible, i cut down or stop all workouts which usually make me sucked in all the air around me. been avoiding running outside. doing more weight lifting in the meantime. bo bian bro ... gotta follow the environment. last saturday it was so hazy in the morning i told myself no point to head outside. might be doing more harm than good ><

Caravan 5th Gear June 26, 2013 Share June 26, 2013 What is the PM2.5 for regular days near Singapore roads ? Can't be <20 ? All the CO from the motor vehicles, .. Pre-haze days PSI was about 40+ also. I don't think PM2.5 is much better. Remember reading a report that SG air quality was actually unhealthy even without haze, due to all the fine particulates coming from diesel engine. Matrix0405 5th Gear June 26, 2013 Share June 26, 2013 PM2.5 40 and below than can do extended outdoor exercise. Otherwise, haze too high = the more u exercise, the more unhealthy u become.
