Please lah, even Proton they also take. As long as it's a car, and it's easy to steal, they will steal... [laugh]

In fact Proton is the most popular target of thieves.

There is a huge ready market fr 2nd hand Proton parts. [pirate]

In fact home buyers should be way if the developer starts putting up golf course. Your windows will be torpedoed in no time.

Thats why I say over there not like here. Very different.

I wil prefer to buy those property already built up. Maybe 2nd hand even.

Many buyers there kenna played out wholesale.

Pay deposit n progressive payments then halfway developer go bankrupt( he cheat all the money) n u wil need to get yr own contractor to complete the property.

U can imagine yr headaches n higher costs involved. [dizzy]

Supercharged

I know of at least 2 person that had their entire house looted.

Makes me wonder why people from this forum say they want to go there and retire.

Bro...a lot of these houses are landed where there are many entrances to the house.

In SGP, it is not we don't have such cases. Just that how many landed in SGP compared to Msia? Obviously, the more landed you have, the more cases you have and the more you will hear it.

It's about if the owner has put enough deterrence in place.

My parents have a house in JB, Kebun Teh area for the last 40 years, but it has never been broken into. But a few of their neighbors house had been broken in before. And when I look at those houses, it is quite clear to me why the thieves targeted those houses. They never even close all their windows at night !

The key is to put enough deterrence by using some common sense, otherwise, you are just inviting any crooks to break into your house. It is the same anywhere, any country.

Thesedays, newer estates are normally guarded by a 24 hour patrol, but again, common sense deterrence methods are needed......doesn't mean having a patrol means can open your doors 24/7 which some owner does, thinking there is a guard, so it must be safe.

Problem in JB, IMO, is that there are so many landed around, and they are matched with an equally huge amount of stupid owners who never apply common sense in deterring thieves and robbers.

Thats why i never never consider buying properties in Boleh land.

If I wanna stay there, I would rather rent for three months or a year. Stay happy happy move out. No maintenance problem, no tying down of my cash.

Actually can retire there. Just don't buy landed house. Buy condo unit. It's alot safer.

These thief do their hw and not suka suka go random. I know a Malaysian who got robbed at 7 am when the whole family was getting ready to start their day. He stayed in those new atas estate with security guard and mobile patrol. The thief just ask him to surrender all his valuable and they even know he didnt surrender his 5th rolex. I must say they r good. IMO johor thief is still safer than kl
