parents should carry their kids under their armpit at 24hrs if they think it's too vulnerability being punish [idea]

Why don't you wait till your child is mishandled as such, then you come in and say you are cool about it.

Wah...both of you forensic doctor?. or CSI?. so long the video show, pulling, mismanagement of kids, if this is true, this is already against the law. Don't be too smart to turn and twist and make it less sinful for the act. If this is your kid, would you feel happy?. Do you really want anybody to do this to your child?.

the father already say his boy very steady, can jump from furniture to furniture with good landing skill.

if the parents cannot discipline their kids, please dun expect people to have the same 'patience' to do it for them.

hear hear, but only when cold calculated punishment to make them learn, not in moment of anger to make them pay.

It is not the reputation of the school alone that will guarantee quality education. It is the qualified teachers your child may or may not be attached to, that makes the difference.

My eldest, prior to entering CC, hardly speak or understood Chinese. But after 2 years under the guidance of competent teachers, he could read out quite a number of the chinese characters off the evening publications.

And similar to your experience, my son's atrocious English may due in part for the very same reasons.

issit this one? [grin][:p]

i still think the bigger issue is the school hiding the fact of how the child injuried his leg... rather than the teacher mishandling the child......

everyone barking up the wrong tree

Then he should send his son to a acrobatic school or a circus . So that he can maximize his potentials . Why send him to a school which stops him from doing so. Worse punish him til break shin? Maybe the injuries are already there but the teacher's actions are exactly fit and proper.

It goes back to whether if the parents actually do the correct thing in molding the child . My parents were similar to those here , teacher complain go back double. End up I also grew up a useful person.

before I saw the father's interview, I empathise with the kid.

after the interview, I blame the teacher less.

Hey pal, [wave]

Show your wife this reply! My girl also 2009 bb, used to be in 'atas' kinderland...

Ends up the same... Spouting tons of nonsense ( some horrible, some damn funny)!!!

Regards to broken English...

" this is my ONE"

" my fren give me ONE"

Guess u get the picture?

anyway.. my girl transferred from Lorna whiston to BRMCK.. i see her ability to communicate deteriorate. I believe it’s got to do with the way the lessons are conducted.. more likely she has less chance to express herself in the BRMCK than in LW.. She is less likely to get corrected when she speak wrongly and is less self-confident.

we can all blame the teacher no doubt, her way of handling was long due for the current generation. However, i doubt she would do it on purpose to hurt the kid.

if parents cannot discipline their children, or the only way they can keep them still is to throw them an ipad or smartphone, and happily watch the kids jumping up and down when the parents are in good mood, then claim they have no problem with their kids. well good luck to them.

handling a class of 20 children, you wish to have 80% of the class that are good boys and girls.

if parents can change school when they are not happy, wonder the school and reject the children after 1st week if they think they cannot handle them [rolleyes] [rolleyes]

Childcare ctr shd be allowed to reject ill-disciplined kids.

Schools however cannot reject kids who will "drag" their PSLE/ O Levels score down...
