keanie Turbocharged March 3, 2015 Share March 3, 2015 (edited) Confirmed! The price never get to Rm2.11 recently.. It was Rm2 for Ron97 Yep, confirmed. Last I pump R97 before 1st Mar, it's RM2. Now with increase of 0.25, it's RM2.25 or S$0.86 which is still a steal compare to Sp price. Now with Malaysia supermarkets slashing their prices as much as up to 70%, it lagi got reasons to go Bolehland top up petrol, buy groceries and have my favourite roast duck or seafood porridge. Haha Edited March 3, 2015 by keanie

Zxcvb Turbocharged March 8, 2015 Share March 8, 2015 (edited) Dye used in RON 97 fuel does not affect quality – Shell In Cars, Local News / By Gregory Sze / 6 March 2015 7:08 pm / 38 comments In response to a video currently circulating on various social media platforms, Shell Malaysia has issued a statement stating that the amount of red dye injected into RON 97 fuel does not affect the quality of its products. A spokesperson from Shell told The Star that the natural colour of petrol and diesel is light yellow. “As mandated by authorities, fuel dyes are added for visual identification of different grades and types of fuel,” it was stated. “RON 97 is mandated as red in Malaysia and RON 95 is yellow. The fuel dyes do not have any impact on fuel quality and engine performance.” The difference in colour shades are attributed to the different amount of dye used, which ranges from five to 18 ppm (parts per million). Furthermore, the methods employed to apply the dye – be it either automatic or bulk mixing – will result in a discrepancy in the colour intensity. As for the difference in colour of RON 97 in the video, the spokesperson added that the fuel could have arrived from different terminals. There is, as stated, no difference in the fuel quality whatsoever. Datuk Zulkifli Mokti, deputy president of the Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia, advised consumers to send a petrol sample to the relevant facilities should they detect something amiss regarding the quality. “Take a sample of it and send it for chemical check and make a report to Sirim, then they will look at it.” https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10202925683496571 Read more: http://paultan.org/2015/03/06/dye-used-in-ron-97-fuel-quality/ Edited March 8, 2015 by Zxcvb
TameDriver Twincharged March 16, 2015 Share March 16, 2015 Road closures in JB in conjunction with Sultan Johors coronation By Chuah Bee Kim | New Straits Times 18 hours ago Share57Tweet Print JOHOR BARU: The public have been urged to bear with the inconvenience and make some sacrifices as the state gears up for the coronation of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, on March 23. Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Shariff urged the public who wants to witness the coronation, not to resort to haphazard parking on the day, as this will obstruct traffic flow. "A committee comprising police officials was set up two years ago to come up with a strategy to ensure that the installation ceremony is smooth-sailing. "We have enough manpower to facilitate the operation to ensure there is no traffic disruption. There will be shuttle buses on the day. "However, as in any big-scale event, there will be a massive crowd. We need the public's cooperation to ensure that all goes well," Mokhtar told a Press conference at the state police contingent here. Beginning March 16, the roads that will be closed for rehearsal beginning 10am are: Jalan Gereja/Jalan Ngee Heng traffic light junction, Jalan Tun Abdul Razak heading towards the city centre, Jalan Tebrau-Jalan Tun Razak, the Jalan Tanjung Puteri/Jalan Jim Quee traffic light junction and Jalan Tun Sri Lanang/Jalan Air Molek (Lot 1) traffic light junction. From today to March 19, the seven roads in the city that will be closed are Jalan Skudai/Pantai Lido, Jalan Tun Abdul Razak/Pantai Lido and Jalan Sungai Danga/Pantai Lido. Other affected areas are the junction of the Jalan Air Molek/Gertak Merah traffic light, Sg. Chat/Inner Ring road/Jalan Abu Bakar traffic light and the Tropicana Danga Bay/Jalan Pantai Lido traffic light. The routes will be closed from 7am to 1pm. Mokhtar said the alternative routes that motorists can take are Jalan Tun Abdul Razak/JB Central, Jalan Tun Abdul Razak/Jalan Lingkaran Dalam to Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (Causeway) and Jalan Tun Abdul Razak/Jalan Tebrau to Kota Tinggi which will lead them to the city centre or the Johor-Singapore Causeway (Causeway). "Those who want to go to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (SAH) can use the Jalan Tun Abdul Razak-Jalan Datin Halimah-Jalan Kolam Air-Jalan Sungai Chat-Jalan Mahmoodiah route. "In emergency cases, we will make sure there are no hindrances," Mokhtar said. For further enquiries or information, call the police hotline at 07-2212999.
