Which sidewall is softer hankook v12 or bf goodrich g sport

I'm currently on bf goodrich g sport, and as it's already balding, I'm considering the Hankook v12 as my replacement as recommended by Frankie from Soh Tyres.

I've read the reviews here that the sidewall is quite soft for v12, and as I'm a person who likes to take corners at "higher than normal" speeds, I would like to find out if anyone knows if the sidewall for the v12 is already harder than the bf goodrich.

Was considering the RS2 but I think it's already out of production.

I'm currently running on 195/50/15, which is why the RS3 is out of the question due to 17 inch not being available.

If there are any other recommendations similar to the performance of the v12 I'm all ears as well!

Thanks.

Hi Hamburger

I was asking him if he still has the RS2, then he told me no more, and recommended the v12, or the kumho ku31.

$95 and $85 respectively.

But the softer sidewall for the v12 is the one factor which concerns me now.

I think I am currently using the same tyres as you, exact same size also.

I had previously used v12, 4 years back on the same car.

I really have no comments on the sidewall comparison of these 2 tyres as I am no aggresive driver.

The only thing I can comment is that both tyres are damn noisy.

Yeah, i'm a comfort tyre person.

Ah ic.

Thanks for the response.

If this is the case I think there isn't much of a difference for the sidewall hardness then.

And alot of people have been saying the traction of the v12 is similar to the rs2, so hopefully this will be a good set to change to!

Further comments. Both tyres are noisy. But the BF has a certain irritating howling kind of noise. Mine are just a few months old, wonder if this effect will go away soon.

I had no issues with the gripping performance of both tyres. Again, I am not aggressive type of driver.
