Nzy Twincharged November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 (edited) Toa Payoh Lorong 7, BLK 22 Food Centre. Got 1 food store selling $2 for 3 dish. That time I ordered with drumstick also $2. Taste ok if not fussy. Long queue during meal time. Now its not $2 even if you order drumstick already. Drumstick is additional $1. The rest still the same. I always order 2 meat and 2 veg for $2.40. One whole fish and one chicken wing plus 2 veg still $2.40. Now the coffeeshop near that hawker centre also got the same pricing. Spring Moderator November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 Amoy Street Food Court has a nasi lemak stall @$2-50 for 4 dishes otak, ikan bilis, chicken wing, egg and portion is reasonable. The nasi lemak stall at Tanjong Pagar Hawker centre (above the market) was selling the same but theirs even better give chicken drumstick also for $2-50 but unfortunately the whole place is closed for 1 year from March this year!! Kudos to these guys for being able to sell at this very reasonable price!!!!

Even for markets going under minor refurnishings, price also increased after opening. Boon Lay Market one example.
Kb27 Supersonic November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 Price will increase when market re-open. That's the trend now. Even for markets going under minor refurnishings, price also increased after opening. Boon Lay Market one example. When market closed, the stallholders livelihood are affected, maybe up to 3 months. When market open, rent guaranteed increase. Increase must pass on to consumers. and then they make some more..to compensate for their loss earlier. And what goes up, never comes down. ..except maybe your pay. Bcuz workers here are deemed too unproductive to deserve any raise. So you know who to blame for inflation.
