Soya Supersonic July 16, 2017 Share July 16, 2017 Just confirmed a C180 ytd. Haven't decided the colour yet. Black interior decided though. Any suggestions? Personally prefer white, but I am not sure if merc white would be able to withstand yellowing over time in our climate. Most of the white mercs I see r very white even if they r on the roads very often ↡ Advertisement

Personally prefer white, but I am not sure if merc white would be able to withstand yellowing over time in our climate. Nowadays the paint used by the contis are quite durable compared to the old days, if you're concerned try getting a paint protection coating done. Otherwise keeping it waxed with a good UV-protection type of wax should have it looking good for years to come. Personally though I believe the organic curvature used by the current Mercedes design language stands out better in silver or metallic black. I'm also a fan of the Brilliant Blue Metallic (I was also previously told it's a signature color exclusive to the C-Class), which might be too unique and daring for the average Benz owner. I also don't really like white paints because most of the time they're solid gloss paint, not metallic. In other countries they make you pay extra for metallic paint, which doesn't happen here, yet I see so many high-class brand cars in solid gloss nonmetallic white paint. At any rate I'd say Iridium Silver, Brilliant Blue, Designo Diamond White and Obsidian Black are the best for the C-Class. Selenite Gray and Diamond Silver also produce an elegant and pleasing look. The Dakota Brown is a bit unusual and is an acquired taste for most but I kind of like it myself. I haven't anything against white in particular apart from it being hard to maintain, but for me white has to be pearl or metallic. Blueshear Clutched July 16, 2017 Share July 16, 2017 Thank you for the advices. One thing for taxi always look good in white is that the driver is super delicated in going for car washes. Selentie grey i also like but i somehow find it made the car look smaller.
Vratenza Supersonic July 16, 2017 Share July 16, 2017 Car colour is very personal..... More personal than asking what car model to choose in an open forum if your have 250k or 350k to haolian spend. I also see it akin to asking a bunch of strangers what colour underwear should you buy or wear. Maybe @Angcheek will like to share his opinion on what colour underwear he likes.... Or what colour underwear he will like to see @Radx in? Oh yeah, talk about @Radx, he can share with you his story about being flagged down in his previous short lived merc. In summary, just get a colour that calls out to you most. Throw the practicality part of equation aside. After a few car changes, you will learn your own lesson on pros and cons of different car colours as well as your own "industrial-ness" in car maintenance. Thank you for the advices. As7eroidS 1st Gear July 17, 2017 Share July 17, 2017 Wait, we are talking about the center console here, right? If so, then I presume the sticker is specially pre-cut for C180 (W205) to cover the whole center console neatly, correct? We're not talking about some random stickers where we need to cut here and there. Or, as bro therock requested, please just tell us the name of the shop? Thanks man. im talking about one large piece of vinyl sticker diy cut to match the console :) its not difficult.
Vratenza Supersonic July 17, 2017 Share July 17, 2017 I admit I am quite handy with crafts and fixing things around the house but vinyl sticker pasting around the curved centre console edges are definitely one that takes alot of skills. Not something that I can say is as easy as typing the on the keyboard posting on a forum. You have any picture of your own DIY effort? Would like to get some tips and tricks from you if it is possible.... im talking about one large piece of vinyl sticker diy cut to match the console :) its not difficult. Selentie grey i also like but i somehow find it made the car look smaller. Darker grays do make a car look more solid and heavy though, even if it seems a bit smaller. But I dunno, I don't feel the metallic gray on my car makes it seem any smaller

Blueshear Clutched July 18, 2017 Share July 18, 2017 (edited) Bros, Appreciate all the mix of funny, constructive and also teasing comments. Regarding the underwear things, honestly I don't even care the colour of what I wear because it is inner wear and also I don't buy them myself. Car different, it is on the outside ma, so I do not wish to make a wrong decision. Dark colours, personally I find it make the W205 smaller as it blend in the rims and making the rims less stand out, but then it is much easier to maintain. The previous W205 7G one, I think got one grey that is like gundam metal grey but now SE told me it is discontinued for this current batch. So by the way, W205 got any watapps group to join to ask any clever or stupid questions or not Edited July 18, 2017 by Blueshear

Narrow down the choice already then go google to find actual W205 car pictures in that colour. It will be a better way to form your own opinion what colour rocks your world. Last thing you want is a popularity vote on the choice of colour and then you realize that you are driving the same colour car as every other w205 on the road.
