Thanks for updating. Did you ask what the problem is? Did tc explain how they resolve it? May I know which SVC centre you went to please?

Thet didnt tell me in detail but just told me that they make adjustment to the heat shield. I went bukit timah one.

this is from a forumer at uk qashqaiowner forum. Also trying to figure out how to get it done in SG.

Do let us know if you figure it out. We can get acoustic foam easily in SG, but not too sure if these foam works for our purpose. A more important thing would probably be getting someone who knows how to dismantle the rear bumper. Then the most important one would be, getting the rear bumper properly and correctly assembled and aligned back. When I look at the service manual for the Nissan Rouge, it seems that the assembly part is so complicated.

Thanks. Hope this will resolve the annoying vibrating sound. Driving me crazy. It is taking the joy out of driving an otherwise wonderful car.

Bros can you observe how often your QQ revs above 2000RPM.

I recall reading earlier QQ torque is max starting just below 2K RPM. if it revs about this point most of the time when it is taking off at traffice light or cruising at 60-80km/hr then turbo is on most of the time thus feels steady as a bigger engine car.

Haha that's good to the vocal minority... Mine got quite loud and sent it down yesterday. The SE heard it too. But my rear boot was also rattling. So they needed more time to solve the problems. Will be sending it in another time. Hopefully with the knowledge, TC will be able to resolve it fast.

Think it depends on your driving style. If you use the ECO mode, you can travel the whole Singapore without revs above 2000 RPM. If you engage the Sports mode, you will exceed 2000 RPM most of the time.

Think have to check with your SE for current prices after latest COE bidding. TC might take sometime to update the sgcarmart price?

saw price updated to $113800 for base 1.2l model this morning! [;)]

Normal for CVT to behave in this manner.. high RPM while accelerating. It will then slowly downshift for you as you reach cruising speeds.

A CVT is a single-speed transmission with infinite number of effective gear ratios.

The engine will rev to the appropriate RPM whilst the speed catch up.

Any perceived upshift / downshift is likely to be electronically manipulated cos the traditional CVT is not well-liked in the market.

You are more likely put off by the price, not the profit margin. $10k profit margin out of a 100k car is only 10%. So QQ profit margin in this case is around 15%.

When you buy a $60 shirt off a retailer in a mall, the profit margin is at least 20%; the cost of goods + total overheads (staff, rental, marketing) will be around $48 or 80%.

So if people can tahan $60 shirt with 20% profit margin, why canot buy $100k+ car with 15% profit margin by dealer? It's always the price. It's just that it isn't your price.

The margins will come down as dealers sell more cars each month.

As a ref, 8 years ago when there are more new cars sold per month, the margin for a Honda Jazz from kah motor was about 5k. Then when Coe quotas per exercise decrease, the margins go up as ADs sold less new cars and need to increase profit per car to remain in business.

It is a new model with strong interest so margins will remain above average to maximize profits. Margins should come down in a years time . If they want they can get 50% of the demand for Vezel to move over to QQ by reducing their price to match vezel's or even marginally lower while stil making decent profits.

Hi Forte,

Thought you are always bullish on Coe prices from your postings on Coe discussion threads.

Why the change in view point?

Please share as we hope to learn from u.

You will lose a lot of money in the coming months

From today newspaper.....

Nissan SUV sale was the top in the first half, followed by subaru and Mitsubishi. Of course the most populat model was the qasqhai :)

BUT if parallel import are included, honda vezel may well be the best seller.

I share many times for my 19" rims/throttle controller liao. Maybe can search my post history instead of so many people pm-ing me all the time. So this is the last time.

Throttle controller - Mcwell ventures $380, you can find cheaper ones, other brands, other workshops. I have been using Pivot brand for all my cars so I stayed with this.

Bro, know you feel pak chey in replying again and again.

Throttle controller.....$380 ... It does not included installation fee ..right?
