sjhkqashqai 1st Gear September 7, 2015 Share September 7, 2015 For every product, depending on luck, there bounds to have happy and unhappy customer. Usually we hear more complaint from unhappy customers then the other way round. I am happy with mine and still find it a worth buy. I am sure there are still many happy buyer around. ↡ Advertisement
Puiru 2nd Gear September 7, 2015 Share September 7, 2015 Hi RC, Congrats to you that you will be getting your new ride soon. One noticeable difference between the earlier Qashqai and the later ones, is the front wipers. Think, in the earlier Qashqai, you cannot lift the driver side wiper up for servicing without hitting the bonnet. You actually need to give the wiper control on the steering 2 quick stokes in order to put the wiper into servicing mode. Personally, I think this wiper design is stupid and does not make any sense. Well, I understand later that the newer Qashqai had the design changed, one can now lift the wiper properly without hitting the bonnet. The above is only one single example of design improvement on the Qashqai and I believe there must be many more changes and/ or improvements that we not aware of or maybe internal improvements which cannot be seen by us. Such changes/ improvement happens to all cars and products, not only to this Qashqai. Finally, everyone has different requirements and expectations, decision had already been made, your ride is already on its way, hope that the new Qashqai meets your requirements and expectations. You and your family will enjoy the Qashqai, have a great time with it. :) The service mode for the wiper is not a stupid design. This is conti specs and it exist on conti made cars. This is to move the wiper to an angle for ease of wiper blade replacement. Not too sure why Nissan change it but does the service mode still valid after this change? RaymondCheong 1st Gear September 7, 2015 Share September 7, 2015 Thank you all. One of the many reasons for our choice over the Vezel was this is a agent car not PI. No point spending over $100k for a car & getting worried day & night over PI. The interior of the Qashqai wow me over too along with the test drive which we have 4 adults sitting in the rear. Looking forward to our ride. RC
Htancl 1st Gear September 7, 2015 Share September 7, 2015 (edited) Just booked a QQ 1.2 at Ubi last week. Eagerly waiting for delivery expected end Oct. Long wait. Looking at the following mod: 1. Front speakers with amp. 2. Pivot 3 Throttle Control 3. 18" Rims. Still considering. 4. Steelmate TPMS 5. Blackvue Cam. Did not ask for the freebie cam. The interior of The QQ look good with style :) it is the 1.2T model, sufficient for our usage. Hi all, I am awaiting for the arrival of my Magnetic red QQ and the EDD should be end sept or OCT but I only got to know this informative forum after I booked my car so i am really keeping my fingers crossed that Nissan has done rectification on all the issues feedback to them lol. Great stuff, mine is blue. As someone have mentioned, no car is 100% problem free so nothing to worry about unless the whole design is a big flop. Already good signs that they are listening to owners' feedback to fine tune. . That is my thoughts. Nissan have been around for decades with many super reliable models & that was another reasons for us choosing Qashqai over PI Vezel. Peace of mind. Cool, for me, adding the scuff plates & the windows' shades are a must. maybe just the active sub woofer Pioneer WX120A under the seat too. TC offering a good price to fit that in at $295. Apologies, maybe I used incorrect words. I would understand, if such a mode exist to ease wiper replacement. I'm not sure if such a mode still exist in the latest Qashqai. In general, bigger rims = lower profile tyres = more noise = harsher ride. Pivot 3, mmmmm, why not Racechip ? (no, I'm not getting any money from Racechip) Edited September 8, 2015 by Sannynserene

Sannynserene 2nd Gear September 9, 2015 Share September 9, 2015 Sanny you decided Racechip? Nope, I doubt I will install any Throttle Controller, or, at least not now. I'm happy with the way my Qashqai's response is now. But personally, I do think that the Pivot looks cooler with the number display. The reason why I mentioned Racechip is that I wanted to know if he/ she had ever considered other options. And if yes, then what makes them choose Pivot ? Just interested in knowing it, sharing knowledge, sharing experience, etc. Trying to learn from others. :)
Smurfywhitecap Neutral Newbie September 9, 2015 Share September 9, 2015 Hi All, I noticed the back area (boot area) of the QQ has no board or netting to put things like the Honda Vezel. Anyone knows if there is such an accessory? Thanks!

First mod in the list is change the stock speakers and soundproofing the doors. Got my COE today. Pass one hurdle, but still a long wait..

Don't worry, TC will want the sales and your SE will want his/ her commission. They will get you your Qashqai soon. Actually, there are more throttle controllers out there, other than Pivot and Racechip. Saw from somewhere before some Taiwanese brand which is maybe half the price of Pivot/ Racechip with more features. On the speakers, you may want to PM Meemee on adding the 3M Thinsulate to the Qashqai doors. What I can suggest is, when you get your Qashqai, look up Meemee and get him to demo to you the difference between your stock Qashqai and stock Qashqai with the 3M Thinsulate. Think this is one of the cheapest way to upgrade the overall sound quality without adding too much weight too. This is just a suggestion. Have a nice evening. Rednq 1st Gear September 9, 2015 Share September 9, 2015 Hi, Do you guys install side steps on your rides? I think it will assist kids into the car themselves with these and it looks cool too. ↡ Advertisement
