Do QQ car owners keep the keyless gadget in key holder?

Anyone know where to shop for QQ key holder? Prefer not online as I would like to feel and have more choices. LOL.

If you have one to recommend, please post.

Hopefully QQ uses same size keyless gadget for 1.2 and 2.0. LOL.

U wil get a free black one when u collect car. If u dun wan, can get a Braun buffel one.

Hi All bros & sis..

I've been contemplating the purchase between a 1.2 Qashqai model v.s a Honda veze. Although my Mrs & I are favouring the Qashqai, I'm rather concern about its reliability, performance, fuel consumption, etc in the long run, esp. On the engines performance and maintainance issues of a 1.2turbo. I do a fair bit of city and a lot of expressway driving and wonder if the 1.2t can really work well without any turbo issues.

May I ask if anybody (esp. The current 1.2 model owners) could kindly give me your advise and comments?

Thank you kindly!

You mentioned you are "rather concern about its reliability, performance, fuel consumption".

Vezel : PI

Qashqai : Tan Chong - proven Authorised distributor with affordable servicing and parts package.

The TC'ed engine in the qq 1.2T has sufficient torque and its available low down in the rpm range - more than sufficient against the 1.5 or 1.6L NA engines.

No brainer to me.

I chose QQ over vezel because:

1. Nicer interior

2. Better performance

3. Better insulation

I believe the 1.2T will not be too far from vezel.

There's a detailed write up by ST motoring correspondent Chris Tan on the QQ 1.2l turbo in today's ST Life section. Check it out for those unsure if 1.2l is sufficient or not.

You will then have to look for the car importer for help. I believe it is complicated and that's where AD has the edge over PI

Hmm... Price dropped... Good for the undecided.

Its the price trend same as qq 2.0 n Xtrail. After launched, price went down 1 time, after that adjust back to normal price and never went back.

if u think Coe downtrend can wait more :) but I think near term after adjustment should be almost same price even if Coe drops.

You definitely reserve your rights to ask them for full compensation esp what happened to your ride.

And I agree TC should have tested more before rolling out.

I am sure they did test extensively.

But like sw or hw development, there is no way to launch a flawless product. Until you launch and consumer use it, problems will start to surface.

Its like u buy a newly launch iPhone or samsung smartphone, the first version first batch sure bound to have problems.

Imagine if TC sold say 300 QQ in sg, and unfortunately 3 turns out to have prb, the SLA still 99% which is still within acceptable range.

I do not know what's the SLA TC wants to meet but some coy has SLA of 92% or 95% even.

Most importantly its TC willing to rectify the prb. I am sure TC will do that.

Do add on to the list for all new QQ driver.

*Aircorn ventilation - Before switching on the Aircorn, pls select cabin air circulation as by default when engine is on, the Air vent is default at air circulation from outside. Once selected cabin ar circulation, you may switch on the aircorn. This will prevent the car from switching to outside air circulation during your drive.

The price drop for the 1.2T is probably due to drop of the cat A Coe by $1k....my thought.

Dear all,

Thank you for the comments! I've went down to pay another visit to my SE and the 2nd round test drive sealed my decision on the QQ. Indeed its the better choice! Will be signing the papers on Monday. Hopefully the rest of the procedures will go smoothly.

Sorry I wasn't able to read the straits times article as I'm not a subscriber, but I'm sure it should be interesting. Thanks for posting!

Do you know if 1.2T has problem going up Genting or Cameron? Will it cause excessive stress on the TC? Still deliberating whether to get 1.2T or 2.0.

IMO, this model is decent enough for use locally. How often do you drive in north or Cameron? If just the few rare occasions, I would go for car rental and save on the difference. just view.
