Currently using FP Plus once a month (30ml). The initial doze was good even for the Altis. Over the months, only pumping Caltex 95, could not feel much effect, however Engine felt much livier with the FP Plus running. Occasionally when we switch to Shell 95, we get very good mileage (improvement of around >10%) also.

If pumping Shell 95 gives you >10% milage than Caltex 95

and if Shell 95 cost less than 10% more than Caltex 95

the you should only use Shell 95.

However to get more than 10% better milage from the same octane fuel

is very hard to do.

(edited)

from what i have read, use too much fuel cleaner will eats up the diaphragm of your fuel pump. i also understand that not all car fuel system has this diaphragm thingy. mine is one of them.

Will this in any way cause damage?

The 10% increase in mileage is after using Caltex 95 for a while and then swop to Shell 95. After 2nd pump of Shell the mileage returns to normal/average, so I go back to Caltex as I feel Caltex has good balance between engine smoothness, power and FC. Caltex 98 doesn't improve anything and V-power gives bad mileage on the Altis...although there's a perceived increase in power.

Engine felt a little smoother. Still monitoring on FC. My milage is currently at 130k. Im driving a vios so dont know whether is it DI or not.

Vios does not utilise direct injection. like Altis, it uses EFI.

Bought 2 bottles of Techron Concentrate before end of June. Used 1 bottle so far. Now probably on third or fourth tank. FC used to be around 8.8-9.3 km/l. Now I am achieving 10-10.5km/l.

10% lower FC, worth it.
