rocknroll 2nd Gear May 18, 2014 Share May 18, 2014 and before i do anything to my car want to check with all here as got no such experience bf: 1) do I need to report it to the insurance, but i got no infor on the one caused the accident, will i be penalised by the insurance company for failing to report the incident? 2) do I need to make a police report? Appreciate advice from forum bros and comments please. 1. What is your excess for the insurance? If it is for example $600, then the insurance company will request you to fork out $600 first while they'll pay the rest. So if fixing the bumper cost lesser than your insurance excess, then DON'T REPORT. Anyway, to fix the bumper, look for workshop that does Paint-less Dent Remover and then spray paint the bumper. 2. Usually if no injuries, no need to report to police - unless you feel that there is mischievous intent or you think they can do something about it. Else your report just become another statistics. ↡ Advertisement

Else your report just become another statistics. Just report to the police - it will take no more than 15 to 20 minutes. Go to the SPF website and fill in the report. Under no circumstance should you go down to the police station to make the report as you will waste half a day there.

Zyklon 5th Gear May 18, 2014 Share May 18, 2014 Actually bumper can be quite soft de...especially nowadays with the pedestrian safe bumpers... On my f10, I got a 30cm long scratch that is really deep under my rear bumper. Cut through the paint and deep into the plastic. The problem is, I don't know where I got that from, because I am super careful when it comes to car park kerbs.
