hmmm...to be frank I won't keep the D series for COE renewal.

Maybe u can consider getting the EK4 SiR when this COE is due for COE renewal.

I agree. This is one option I'm exploring and if only I can find one that is equally good condition like mine.

Ts, I don't mean to be a wet blanket but having an old school Honda would already raise eyebrows. Since variations have been discussed here, all the more u need to subscribe to "stock is best".

As a are aware, COEed cars have annual inspection. LTA has purchased/is purchasing a treadmill....and there is no clarity on the frequency and how they select the would be cars to grace their new toy/apparatus...

Ahhh.................So finally LTA is admitting hteir staff r getting fat n lazy. [sleeping]

Thats why they get the treadmill to get their staff to exercise more to slim down. [sly]

For this purpose firstly you have to open all the parts of the engine and have to see which part needs replacement. My better suggestion to you is that if you hire some good mechanic it will great help to you and before starting of work, you must ask total repair cost from him.

For rebuilding of engine of the vehicle one and the foremost thing is to identify the engine,as there are constant changes and one of the foremost important is VIN number, this number is found at the base of the wind shield on driver's side. If you know the correct engine model, you can easily and correctly replace the parts of the engine.

Regarding your second question, firstly you have to go towards PNP piston, then connecting rod assembly and thereafter cam.

Regarding your third question about it's costs, it depends on mechanic to mechanic.

I see that you are looking for performance? So I'm thinking you may not want to keep it as a 1.6? The reason I asked is because if you still want to keep it as 1.6 and if the engine still runs fine, then no point rebuilding. You might as well drive until piang then change a new engine. But if yu want to build a new engine, bigger than your current 1.6, by all means, do so. Hahaa... You can do it in jb for a fraction of what it will cost you here. It's just not worth rebuilding the 1.6. But if you want, you need the complete engine internals since the engine is quite old. A full rebuilt will be preferred.I believe they sell rebuild kits.

Last week there was starting problem in my vehicle, I checked it thoroughly but not able to detect the problem. My friend referred me to https://www.yourmechanic.com/cars/chevrolet. I visited them and they told me about engine problem and told me that  it needs rebuilding. For rebuilding engine they followed the following steps:-

- Firstly they removed the engine.

- Thereafter they inspected and disassemble the engine block.

- After that they disassembled and inspected the cylinder head.

- There after they reassembled the engine block and reinstall the engine.
