I press all the way down to 99888 (during the 38k COE), that's why it comes with a 8 bid non-guarantee. I am not in hurry as present car will last until Feb '17 so i can drag until 8 bid.

BTW, SE just called to say can collect car next week.

Gratz lei...

Your SE good...so fast can get car le.

Mine COE start May bid successful still no car in sight...

After driving for a while, i noticed that there appears to be no beeping sound or sound alert of any form when you drive off without seat belt. Only the indicator light is on. Is this normal? I talked to the service center staffs and they mentioned for Mazda 5, there is no sound alert... Not sure if this is right.

Got the laser shades yesterday. Going to let go my existing magnetic shades with clips at $100 (just installed last week). Comes in 6pcs for all side windows excluding rear. PM me if interested. Thanks.

Bro, can share which shop you got the magnetic shade. I called the shop but they say no stock. Thanks

I went to their head office at kim chuan. Ya they also told me no stock, i went down to look at the sample & last minute the boss said can let go to me first. I think maybe someone back out on the reservation. Now going to let go my existing one.

Hi guys,

I've been enjoying my new ride for the almost 2 weeks and quite a bit lost now.. what magnetic or laser shades u guys been mentioning about? Any pics to share? Which is better?

Am happy with the ride so far but feel a bit under power when going uphill. My friend having the same ride but reaching 10k mileage said that he felt the ride much lighter than earlier when he just got it. Any bros over 5k mileage feel the same way as my friend?

They are customised sun shades that fits nicely on to the windows using magnetic & clips. You can google perfect shade or laser shade.

this will be my last post in this thread guys. i have since given up my ride. I had it like for a few months. yep. took a slight hit on the $. but i tot better to be hit early than later.

I guess the only thing i am gonna miss is the 2 power doors and moonroof. thats all. the enjoyment was there for the first few weeks when the ride is stable at high speeds. however things started to go awry fairly quickly. alignment was the first to go off. brought to them during 1K service and they say no such problem!? i even questioned myself whether i am overly paranoid. brought in again and they did the alignment the second time and problem did not really go away. find the service centre a bit dodgy. went to their other service branch and they confirmed something wrong with the alignment and guess what? they just rotated the tyres. The problem was mitigated and came back later. told them steering rocks from side to side when going up fairly huge humps and they told me its normal. When i asked why other cars i have driven not like that, they scratched their heads too..later i self-discovered it could be the suspension that is causing the problem...eventually all was sorted but the way the service people conduct their business gives me very little confidence.

i realised the achilles heel of this car is the weight and therefore its bearing on the suspension (easy to go haywire), the steering (takes a lot of effort to turn - gets worse over time), the brakes (need to step harder than other cars), pick up (draggy despite being a 2L) and of course fuel consumption (super thirsty - gets worse over time).

I thought if this car is giving me problems only after a few weeks, i cannot imagine down the road what other problems will surface and worse when the warranty is over. Imagine the first few weeks, I have to constantly check the tyre pressure, thinking it might be the tyre pressure that is giving me all the problems, it doesnt help also when the service centre over inflate the tyres when the car was first delivered.

I am not surprised the car was not given a makeover like M2, M3 and M6 and there are reports that the production of this car has since been discontinued.

Understandably, what i experienced may be unique to my ride only and i could be just unlucky to get a lemon (at one time, i even wanted to use the lemon law but i thought otherwise as fortunately, I still have the financial means to just walk away) or even just a simple case of paranoia..haha.

Sorry bros about the rant, but I thought i provide a more balanced view of the car as i have posted great things about the car earlier.

Good luck for your new ride. If u had sold your M5, please share your Color or significant sign to look after. Just in case my friend is buying M5, I ask them to avoid this vehicle.

Any bro installed RS chip?

yes I have installed it last year. mine is version 1. this is plug n play. if u like power, this is for u. fast shifting gear, better engine response. not good at FC although it claims it improve.

For mazda 5 n non turbo car we can have plug n play chip like rs chip n pro racing chip available in sg. now rs chip got version 2 which can control by hp app. can adjust in diiferent mode racing. normal. eco mode

if not need to go for Uni chip . e management n other tuning opinion which need specific tune or flush ur ecu.

Sorry to hear ur bad experience on mazda 5.

I feel ur pain, when u spend so much time n money for the car u expect to give u excitment. but in the end it is the other way.

mazda 5 is a basic 6 + 1 mpv. in US. mazda 5 classified as mini mpv coz of it small size n small horsepower with 148hp. it is 2.0 L non turbo engine for 1400k kg car. no doubt it is a bit under power. My euro colleague did feedback our mazda 5 engine is bad in gear shifting and no power as he is leasing a mazda 5 in sg. when I ask him what car he was driving in euro.. he said audi A8...

I still miss my wrx all the time..but I know what to expect from this mazda 5.but I still can find thing to mod for my mazda 5.haha...

sometimes we should go for second opinion at ur trusted workshop other than agent workshop just to confirm whether it is specified model related issue or other issues.

there are numbers of worldwide of mazda 5 owner change suspension to their liking such as coilover, change rear strut bar, aftermarket spring n other suspension.

but I know just change suspension in first 1k is unheard-of.

wish u all the best on ur next new ride.

Hi bro.. How much u bought for the RS chip and where u bought? My ride just above 1k, when is the right time to install the chip? I felt the car engine not eager to rev up after slow down or slow to pick up.

Haha... I already give up the idea of shades but went to tint up another layer to my windows instead.

Looks nicer and cooler, without the hassle of checking blindspots difficulties.
