Anshng Clutched June 4, 2014 Author Share June 4, 2014 (edited) Bro anshng...my ride kenna exactly same spot as you last year...was exiting a MSCP (strange layout in clementi) turing up a slope and the rear fender hit the pillar....1st impression....SIANZ....called my regular workshop, Ricardo auto in Sin Ming and was told to drive down and assess. Was quoted 260+, forgot the exact amount...take at least 2-3 days as they need to wait for the paint layer to dry to coat the other following layers....can give them a try. mine is an IS. Hope that helps. Thanks Bro Windkel20, Mine is a GS.Will drive there for a quote. i did not hit the wall because I turned when i hear the sound and the wall is still a distance away. I went back to take some pictures to illustrate how stupid the pole is placed in the mall I was turning left and there was another coming car coming from the 2 way street. So i have to keep left more but i am careful to avoid the wall but i never expect there is one pole there. I doubt anyone will notice the pole as it is so thin and short. And that is driver blind spot also Can i do a poll to see if anyone agree with me if this is a design flaw of the carpark putting the pole so near to the turning edge? Anshng Clutched June 4, 2014 Author Share June 4, 2014 Bro, complain to the management first and see how they react. Better than keep quiet. Yup bro that's what I did. They want to argue that there are many poles and so far nobody have the same issue That's why i need to do a poll to see if u guys will notice the pole or not when you turn This is how tiny the pole look when you are in the driver seat. When turning, the lane is also very narrow and with the pole there, it only make things worse.

Anshng Clutched June 4, 2014 Author Share June 4, 2014 (edited) eh.. i dont understand ley... how can that flex pole cause such damage?? u sure u never kenna the wall? the pole look harmless right but it is made of metal. I am very sure i never hit the wall because when i hear the sound, I turned to look immediately thinking i hit the wall but the wall is still about 20-30cm away. Think will hit the pole first before hitting the wall as the pole is "protruding" out of the path when one needs to do a sharp turn The unfortunate thing also is that it is raining, making the pole even harder to see when the water droplets is all over the window when i entered the carpark. The picture above is when it is dry Edited June 4, 2014 by Anshng
Cyberian 1st Gear June 8, 2014 Share June 8, 2014 For those who is interested in the repair cost... Repair dent, spray the whole fender and some touch up on the back left wheel... $250... How much it cost to fix this? Any good workshop to recommend? Prefer on the east side.
Alphas 2nd Gear June 17, 2014 Share June 17, 2014 That pole is redundant , not sure the management put it there for what. If it is to prevent hitting the pillar then a rubber wall bumper is enough.

I would also argue that the purpose of the pole was to give drivers an advance warning before they hit the wall which will create more damage to the car. But in this case, if the pole alone was already wrecking the car as badly as you have shown in your photos, then I think it has totally defeated the purpose of having a pole there in the first place!! Dinobros 2nd Gear June 17, 2014 Share June 17, 2014 Actually, I park at Marina like once or twice every month and I do not remember seeing a pole at every corner. If you are saying that the pole is a metal pole, then something is wrong with the car park management to put it there. Most of the pole I see are flexible and made of plastic. There are some that you can drive over and it will rise again like a humpty dumpty. Yup bro that's what I did. lausai88 Hypersonic June 28, 2014 Share June 28, 2014 google and found this: MISFIRING MEAN THE CYLINDER IS NOT WORKING. FOR EXAMPLE, SUPPOSE YOU NEED 4 PERSONS TO PUSH A CAR WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM BUT ONE OF THE PERSON HURT HIS FOOT AND HE CANNOT PUSH THE CAR WHICH MAKE IT HARD TO PUSH THE CAR. THAT IS WHAT MISFIRE ON THE CAR DOES.WHAT YOU DESCRIBE IS NOT A MISFIRE.

THAT IS WHAT MISFIRE ON THE CAR DOES.WHAT YOU DESCRIBE IS NOT A MISFIRE. i dont think you understand what misfiring is even with the half bake google explanation. when one or more coil pack is faulty, it will not give a spark when the piston reached the top dead centre and hence no power stroke is produced. When this happen, it will cause a sudden jerk due to the no ignition of that particular cylinder bank. On top of that, those unburnt fuel is also a killer for the catalytic converter in the long run. Above is my simple understanding and explanation and not from google. ↡ Advertisement
