Hi Verna, very sad to hear about your plight, but hope to keep your spirits high by letting you know I'm also in a very difficult position, somewhere to the tune of $150+K.

 

Have been eating bitter gourd for a year plus now, but going through it. The amount then was higher, but looking at ways to make ends meet. Opportunities come, I grab and make the best out of it while I can.

 

Was so depressed then that I just wallowed in self pity, lost a lot of hair, hair started turn white, lost weight, sleepless nights, etc... and even contemplated the worse.

 

But still surviving, and telling myself to keep alert for opportunities otherwise I might miss them again, which I did while I was in a depressed mode.

 

Passed many deadlines but still here, there are people around who care - that counts, as you can see from the many good bros here. Will still need to go thru some more, but will walk through the storm.

 

One thing more, don't hide, go out, stay healthy, smile more cos that's where opportunities are and you'll miss them if you're in a dark corner, life still goes on for all of us.

 

Talk to the bros here, go back and think... it's not as bleak as we think it is.

So shouldn't your monthly minimum payment be around $1500?

That's true if the account is still active, but once writ of summon issued, all banks will know & closed the acc immed. They will demand full payment, if not min of what they stated, its no longer 3%.

I see. You should have kept your account active by paying the minimum then. But no point saying this now.

 

Since the bank charges you $3350 per month now, with interest of around 15 to 20%, you should be able to clear your debt in 18months. Hang on!
