At this price range, you can get C200 AMG line from other PI already.

Guys, as you have mentioned, latest Levorg 1.6 GT-S price published:

http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_pricing.php?CarCode=11761

$127,800

Glad it's gone down in lieu of the new reduced COE (CAT B) and IMHO $139K is too much for a 1.6 GT-S.

Anyway, I got a quote from Garage R Pte Ltd. It's a full spec Eye-sight variant direct from Japan.

The 2.0 GT-S Eye-sight carries a CEVS penalty of $30K. Crazy.

Total = $135,800 excluding COE.

With COE = $135,800 + $60,000 = $195,800. Pure Madness...

$127,800 is guaranteed COE, the OMV is supposed to be $24k but not sure if true. Forgot to ask about CEVS, but the car looks very good in person.

Wonder is the price at $127800 due to launch i.e. say $10k discount included in it?

i.e. after a couple of months the gap between levorg and fxt will be wider.....

Compared FXT and Levorg  in SGCM, saw a few items which I hope bros here can enlighten me

- FXT = Lineartronic CVT (A) , Levorg = Lineartronic (A) [does lineartronic already imply CVT?]

- FXT = electric seats for driver & front passenger; Levorg = nil

and Items on FXT and not on Levorg (I focus on the mechanical items)

- hill start assist and hill descend control

- Active Torque Split AWD and Active Torque vectoring

- X-mode (SI-Drive I suppose is the UI)

Don't mean to compare FXT vs Levorg, just that I have been looking at FXT for a while and used FXT as reference conveniently. don't shoot me!

Checked with Subaru sales yesterday. The OMV for Levorg is around $24,000 TO $25,000(all interior parts are fitted from Japan) whereas ForesterXT's OMV is only around 17k.

In the end, I chose to book Levorg instead of Forester XT that I originally planned to buy.

Is the Levorg available for test drive at their Toa Payoh showroom?

Have you test drove it?

I have tried both, Levorg built is more refined especially interior. The TC is meant for FC than performance, its TC feeling is nothing close to FXT.

Go try it, I was so tempted to book one when on driver's seat, but since passengers feedback wasn't so good, i went for Outback.

Anyways, i think it is suitable for those who look for honda stream alternative replacement.

Wah, this 2.0 one quite attractive leh, [thumbsup]

a bit disappoint it's CVT gear box and wheel only 225/45/R18, at least 235 or R19,

and price also too bulls**t

Test drove the FXT and only sat in the Levorg at LK before it was launched (still behind the curtain but the SE brought me to see it when I enquired about it).

Its ok with me the TC is for FC and not performance since there are so many speed cam on our roads these days. !

If equipment level is similar between the two cars, the last factor for me to consider is the ease to get in / out of the car. Now used to SUV and feel its easier than sedan which is lower. Last time when I had backpain, I have to roll out of my Imprezza !

At $137,800 ,

I think it's a bit steep especially comparing to FXT with larger body size and bigger engine. [dizzy]

You'll be surprised to know that the Levorg's boot space is actually "larger" vs the FXT but for rear legroom, FXT wins. The Levorg is longer dimension wise vs the FXT.

It really depends on your requirements - it's not quite fair to compare the two coz one is an estate/wagon, the other a SUV.

now Levorg price is 127k, still 3k expensive than FXT, but after very soon FXT FL launch, FXT sure expensive than Levorg

The local pricing of the Levorg is puzzling. It's priced higher dan the Forester XT, Legacy and the Outback.

http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_listing.php?MOD=Subaru

Levorg came in as fully Japanese assembly while rest are partially local fittings (not sure exactly which part) that make the other models have lower OMV. The interior details / fittings are better than Outback! So i guess that was the pricing reasoning.

It "feels" good on driver's seat, nothing much on the rest.

I doubt local buyers will care. Bottom line the pricing is still the major factor when purchasing the car if you get what I mean.
