Must get those 2000A one. Don't buy those 400, 600A small small one.

I am also of the opinion that the power bank capacity plays a part. If a 400 A can't do the job, then a 2000 A should suffice. Size matters after all as it's made bigger for that reason.

On a side note,

After I jumped started my mini with another car and turned it off after 15 mins, it still cannot ignite on his own.

This time the 400A did the job and was able to start it. The 15 mins recharge properly added some juice into the CCA. But only once. Turned off the engine and it could not be started anymore.

The battery is afficially dead with impedenace of more than 10 miliohms and with less than 40% of CCA left in it.

Does anyone if I can get such jump starter from a petrol kiosk?

And it is safe to keep in car since it's a high powered lithium battery?

If don't keep in car then might as well don't buy.

Get a good quality jumpstarter to last you long.

I'm using anker roav 800a since 2019. Kept in my boot every day since and no deformation to the casing so far. I regularly top up the charge every few months.

No difference one, any brand after a few years under the heat here will become bloated. I have tried various brands….Noco, etc.

Which is quite ironic because it is suppose to be in the car and not at home.

Have you jumpstart with it before?

Once just after I bought the jumpstarter, my uncle forgot to switch off his headlamp when visiting shopping mall. By the time come back to carpark, the battery was too drained to start the car.

As for my own car, I had the fortune of not having the battery die on me outside so I have not used it apart from the one case. By not using idle start and go, I found my AGM battery can last up to 3 years.

There’s a chance after a few years under the heat, after you jumpstart once to whoever car it will become bloated.

Personal experience from 2 different brands.

Those jumpstarter with capacitor inside them should be better but much more ex.

Mine comes with air compressor. Use that every several week to pump taiya at home when they are cold. Been a few years already still working. Oh it's always in the car.

No more lockdown, there is no need to have one  these day. If really have problem, just call a mobile battery service, they can jump start the car for you, the service charge  is about the price of a power pack.

For those who want to discard your power bank, some NTUC outlets do have battery recycle collection bins,  please help to protect the environment.

I just monitor and measure my amaron lead acids frequently. When weak just swap out. Cheap car and uses only 45aH at $85 bucks each battery. Every 2-2.5years change. Never been stranded.

I put a new 12V battery and tools in my boot.

I will use the existing one until it is fully flat.

So far this happened once after my previous battery was used for almost 3 years 😇

Make sure you strap the new battery down. If it tips over all the acid will be everywhere. Anyway don’t hold off too long. The battery will also discharge faster in the heat than stored in cool place.
