No signboard for motorist at all.

So the million dollar signboard is useless.

Stating the obvious perhaps...oops traffic congestion up ahead.

On the other hand, I always start a trip looking at google map first.

Google map cost $0.

Yup! Totally useless. The Upp Thomson one always says "Accident on AYE. Drive carefully." like kenna stuck at default. Where on AYE? Towards Tuas or Keppel? Near which exit? Only LTA knows.

If one travel daily along SLE, TPE and KJE, it is where the most heavy vehicles travelled....

This heavy vehicles had shifted from PIE to this expressways to Jurong & Woodlands. [drivingcar]

Three lanes expressway and this heavy vehicles occupy 2 lanes ... [grin]

The accident made up of 1 tanker, 1 private bus, 1 trailer and 1 car and so serious that there was an oil spill to force a road closure... I don't know the story, however 1 thing comes in mind... SPEEDING... Nobody wants accident but doesn't take precaution so it is still an accident waiting to happen.

I see trailers, dump trucks, buses travelling on 2nd lane on expressways sometimes THE DRIVER for A DUMP TRUCK CAN OVERTAKE a trailer in front using 2nd lanes. So I really suspect the effectiveness of speed limiter on these heavy vehicles. If the speed cuts off at 60, then how can they OVERTAKE?

The worst thing is they will return back to 3rd lane only if they spot a TP on the road...

Everyone shares the road, nobody wants to have accident and somebody is always reckless but nobody wants to take precaution and ends up causing inconvenience to everyone...

Drive safe and take precaution... Our FAMILY needs US....

Was at in-laws place and left for dinner at 6.30pm.

Took thomson road to Yishan listening to CD.

Reached north point then hang out until 9.15pm.

At 9.45pm, still at Lentor and made a U-turn to Seletar and enter TPE to get home.

Follow LTAsg on Twitter .. quite useful so far, but better I think if all cars have smartphone connectivity built-in. You will also realize how frequent these accidents are every day, not only when wanbao or MCF post ..

I dont use twitter, fb, wechat and friendster.

I only use email & h/p.

No need to post stuff .. can just be receiver. I also don't use most of these platforms, until I realize how fast it is to receive news on Twitter.

Call me old fashion. I just like to signboard saying Road Closure, please use alternative roads.

When they (TP/LTA) decide to close SLE, did they warn or prevent other traffic from joining SLE ?

So much so all the traffic skidded to a halt and bunched up at Lentor, like 10-pin bowling.

And Lentor just couldn't cope with expressway traffic and then there's the usual traffic lights timing.

It backed up all the way to Yishun.

I saw traffic happily entering SLE from Upp Thomson Rd..not knowing the fate that awaits them ahead.

They could have block these traffic from entering SLE and causing more congestion, but they didn't appear to know what to do.

in times like this, they should make U turn gap at the SLE for cars to get out of the jam.
