Got a call from KAH motor SE yesterday, was told that the car will be in the car show next week at suntec .it is 1.5l, made in Thailand. It is comparable to honda city. Price wise will be $12xxxx.

seems Jap/Kor BnB cars need a 40-45k COE for the total price to be within 5 figure. [shakehead]

INtersting that Mob......is by extension, essentially the Mpv version of the sedan. But the sedan like generating no interest at all.

Too be fair, since it's an MPV so shld be priced more than Jazz 1.5 by abit but def not $120k+. understand where u coming from though since Mobilo is made outside Japan n Jazz is Japan made.

My friend just booked one this morning @ $123K.

Hope Jade is brought in. From pics, it is damn nice!

Yes, but lugging a big body with small underpowered engine on a daily basis is no laughing matter.

if It under power or not.... in Sg, no where to drive fast :D

But since City is a flat 11 sec car, the Mob should be sub or flat 12? Just like Elan, K3, Vios, Slyphy, Vezel......?

more practical to look at figures of

1. 0-60 km/hr acceleration

2. 0-600m sprint timing

which are very obscure and difficult to obtain info, but are more relevant in SG's context.

Saw from the Vez thread that but its 128hp/155nm.

0-100, 11.4 sec,

0-70, 7.0 sec.

Thought sprint = 1/4 mile = 400m?

like that TD & compact TC likely winners.

OT abit. Just saw from the Vez thread that LTA approved the Qashqai 1.2 (IL4) TC. Based on UK site review, its 113hp/140lbs (~180+nm).

I suppose with these smaller engine lightweight cars like Jazz, you can have a 11sec 0-100 but if you have 1 fat Mother in Law and lugguage, 0-100acceleration might need extra 1 sec and so on.

With bigger engines and cars, you can stuff in 3 fat friends and 0-100 timing maybe extra 0.4 secs only?

True lah, small cc with lower torque cars are more adversely affeced by added weight.

the pic with guy at 3rd row speaks a thousand words.

yup short distance ok long distance? Whoever sits so straight up all the way and not to mention his head rubbing the roof. At end of journey, have bald head liao. Please go through humps gently Honda has reputation for stiff suspension.

Hmm, do take note Honda Jade is coming from PI very soon.

Look like more variety for consumer and it looks nicer for Honda Jade then this model.

In our "more better than less" society, it's a pity that it's only a 6 seater coz I'm pretty sure MPV buyers here want an MPV to sit 7 minimum so yes it looks good but surely it must sit 7 to sell well here?

Jade sure looks like a nice car. I will be hesitant though (unless brought in by Kah M). I am still unsure about the reliability of the battery. If anything starts to go wrong in the car battery ... will the PI honour the warranty?
