If car is totaled, still can scrap and get back paper value right?

 

But with comprehensive, can claim market value of car?

I just called to cancel my NTUC motor insurance as I have sold my car.

 

Didn't know that they have a 15% cancellation charge for motor insurance. This clause seems like hidden when we sign up for NTUC.

 

So when you choose motor insurance, please remember to ask them if there is any cancellation charges as well.

if you are taking comprehensive insurance for old cars, i.e 7-9yrs old car... do note that the insurance company may total loss your car instead of repairing your car if it is too expensive....... so lppl means scrapped...... market value differs so what you may get back will be less than actual repair cost
