ConnorMcLeod 2nd Gear January 15, 2017 Share January 15, 2017 Was at Sembawang Shopping Centre, entering car park. Am the first car at the entrance because car park full. Did a handbrake + accelerator combo to do hill start and the car still rolled back. recall a few times at speed hump and car park this roll back happened. bros beware. need to depress accelerator more in these cases. I am too used to the holder on the vitara and tend to be gentle on the accelerator.

I recall at times, I was able to lift the foot from the accelerator and the car stood still on the ramp without depressing the brakes. P.S. and I thought this is a "feature" of CVT gear box ! The xar park ramp is steeper thsn others but not like the road going up hederson wave. It could me the front wheel was on the speed hump on thw slope. At some mcsp, when i approach the barrier slowly, sometimes the car was "bounced back" by the speed hump. The roll back does not happen all the timw. I guess sbout 5 times in the past 3 months. I just hv to do proper hill start like in manual transmission days which i can do but just not expecting this need nowadayz.

Zellker21 Neutral Newbie February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Hi Guys, I just booked the Altis. My SE say can give a local (not 3M) car mat so I have couple questions and appreciate any feedback and answers 1) is it better to have the stock car mat or install 3rd party car mat on top? 2) If it's better to install 3rd party car mat, is it worth to top up for 3M or just get the local car mat which my SE is providing Thanks for helping. Stock car mat can be locked, so it won't move around.3m carmat is thicker and imo, something i prefer though it will move around. Tested 3d maxpider mat before. Supposed to be premium though i dun quite like it. All in all, is a personal choice . Basic toyota car mat is kinda thin fyi :) Enjoy ur new car when it arrive. Really need a bit of effort to go over it.

Carbuyer8989 1st Gear February 16, 2017 Share February 16, 2017 New to their service center. How are your service center experiences? Everything free or got hidden costs? Average booking/waiting time? Comfortable waiting area? Since it is going to be 5 years, 2 visits per year... better make the most out of it. UBI seems very small though. LK much bigger? Altis2016 1st Gear February 16, 2017 Share February 16, 2017 Experience on 20k servicing @ LK. (3wks ago) Need not pay anything except tire rotation & balancing $21 & optonal item. (Cannot remember air filter or refiner @ 88) Complain: 1) Shudder @ low rpm & speed below 70km/h 2.) wind noise @ high speed 100km/h and above 3.) slight vibration @ traffic light in drive mode. As it is near to Chinese New Year, tester very busy so I did not test the car with the tester. Appt @ 9am correct car @ 4:30pm asking me to come again to change window rubber that cause the wind noise. Car no shudder but find the car super responsive. A slight touch on the ac era toe and the rpm went up with the ECON bar monitor shooting above 50%. This is very diiferent feeling from the initial 15k driving experience. Went back 2 weeks later complain: 1.) complain car super responsive and affect my FC 2.) Foul smell coming from air con after 1 week of servicing every morning. 3.) Slight vibration @ traffic light but now less often Appt @ 10:30 correct car @ 5pm. 1.) tell me computer say ok. Before, my rpm is @ .5k rpm (now aro .7-.8) . Nobody ever complain too responsive. 2.) Say foul smell due to air freshener. They put a heavy duty ionizer and ventilate the car. Car now feel the way just like I first collect the car in every aspect. Still got new car smell some more. Btw LK & Ubi, In my opinion, feel that LK counter staff that serve me is much better. Car wash equally bad but car vacuum LK good.

My current servicing @ 3rd party workshop usually completes within 3 hours. Maybe BM sold too many cars, so the mechanics are busier. ↡ Advertisement
