I always keep a safe distance between myself and the car in front of me....for ppl who tailgate me.....dun really care unless the traffic is clear, then i will move to the second lane and let them pass me. life is too short to play a fool.

Getting wiser. Lane 2 is my choice these days. Let them race in lane 1. Not my or my ah gong's road anyway.

Agree. I also do that now. I am just surprise that my driving style can change so drastically as I age.

Priority in life also changes as we age. When young can do things without thinking left right center, don't think twice anyone at home waiting. Lesser responsibility.

Likely you are refering to the agc feature which adjurt volume vs ambience noise. You can turn off this feature. My se turned it off for me at tge ti.e i collect my car.

Or the guide/prompt volume? This can mute the gps/camera voice?

I think if mute gps sound, it will end up as long pause instead, interrupting the music. So just make it level 1.

iPhone 7. Can open the door. After sit down, stepped brake, no key sign on, blank screen.

Thought car spoilt... fiddle in the hot car.

Think the phone was pressing on the key in my pocket.

Then stepped brake again, the low key signal detected words appeared.

Finally took out key, then stepped brake and it works.

Guess the key signal got messed up there.

It sounds plausible if key is touching the antenna of a transmitting device n the signalling is affected. Having said that the car key has full plastic casing i do not expect lost of all signals. Any RF engr can help here ?

Yes, the car/door icons apppeared when open. But blank screen after closed door.

I also placed the key near the on/off button, but could only start the accessories.

Only after a while, the key icon appeared. (Stepped on brake many times)

Think I better keep the key away from the phone.

I see. My guesses above are irrelevant based on your description , esp with key next to on/off button n still not detected.

 

You may want to try with the other key fob n see if same problem occurs. This helps to isolate whether its the first key fob or the receiver in car that is having problem.

Coming from Garmin n partly converted to Google Map , i find it difficult to get used to the in car GPS. I cannot figure out most of the time how to enter destination address. The routing seems sub optimal. But it is probably i refused to learn anymore. Ha ha.
