Quiksufer 2nd Gear May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 Hi, anyone try to take out the headlamp light bulb before? The high beam and the signal lamp seems easy, but the LED low beam seems difficult. Cheers. ↡ Advertisement

Columbian78 6th Gear May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 I believe anti glare is that horizontal strip at the top part of the front windscreen. It is pasted on after the main solar film and can be as dark as you like. By LTA regulations, it should be 6 inches or less in width. As a price ref, when installing solar film at 3M, it cost about $40 to install that 6 inch strip. What anti glare? Check LTA website. It is legal. Requirements are 6 inch or less in width, and no vulgar offensive wordings. Should be much less than $100. It is just s small piece and very easy to paste on after main solar film installation. When SE said will throw in anti-glare FOC, is it cost only about less than $100? Is it legal, can pass LTA/VICOM inspection test after 3 years? Advisable to take it? Already DIY changing my brake lamp housing. Pretty easy, no re-wiring require, just plug and play. Also self install in car camera (Front/ Rear) and change air-con filter. Trying to figure out how to change the low beam headlight LED, if not will change the whole housing. Used to learn all the tricks from TCS members, but now they all change to different cars except me hehehe. Love them, as they share a lot of DIY stuff during meet up and group buys...

Chongsf 1st Gear May 25, 2015 Share May 25, 2015 Any brothers here installed the extended rearview mirrors for your Altis. Should I buy 270mm or 300mm. Which brand should I buy? Is the one BM selling acceptable. http://www.borneomotors.com.sg/toyotashop/productdetail.aspx?ID=
Advancer 3rd Gear May 25, 2015 Share May 25, 2015 (edited) It's available on the Elegance. Shd be software issue. I checked with Borneo motors in the last servicing and they told me Singapore reverse camera no lines at all. Btw if the camera is mounted right at the centre of the boot, the line will make sense. But the Altis reverse camera is mounted at an angle, the lines will look slanted and give a misalignment if there is any. Any brothers here installed the extended rearview mirrors for your Altis. Tried and tested myself. Edited May 25, 2015 by Advancer

It automatically adjusts the angle of reflection to minimise glare. Would be better if it was like this: The superior technology incorporated in the Electrochromatic Mirror allows you to see behind your car while you look forward. When activated, the mirror features a 50mm x 38 mm colour LCD screen with images provided by the Reversing Camera, keeping you aware of any obstacles at the rear of the car. When not in use, the LCD screen is invisible to the eye and the entire area of the Electrochromatic Mirror works as a mirror. https://www.toyota.com.au/owners/accessories/interior-accessories/reversing-camera Edited May 25, 2015 by Raptor22

Funny how come nobody here has the lines...... Attached photo was taken from my head unit LCD screen when gear in reverse. Attached photo was taken from my head unit LCD screen when gear in reverse. I may be wrong on the Classic. The Elegance has those coloured lines that turns with the steering wheel and the rectangle to indicate the outline of the car. Camera, though being slightly off centre, it showed the rear image alignment very well (at least it guided me away from the parallel parked car accurately). Frankly, this device makes me hard to go without in future - can't do without. ↡ Advertisement
