salesman supplied the instruction. tried it several times (unlock switch), didnt work. trying to fig if i missed anything.

Try the lock switch then.

Somehow I was unable to revert the action now, but well at least I prefer it this way.

Did my first mod by changing he headlights from stock to philips crystal vision.

Right hand side is whiter if you notice.

Anyone knows where can I install a small rear lip spoiler for a good price?

crystal vision was used for my G9 ride, and also my prev truck. like the balance of the colour.

 

my only mod is changing the licence plate lights, to LED. was a chore to take out liner and casings. gonna go after the reverse lights next.

 

i'm also thinkin of rear spoiler. seems it may block the 3rd brake light.

Yes my sisters car is the classic version. Sadly no led so this is the next best thing.

I believe there are smaller rear lip spoilers that won't block the brake light.

No problem. There are many disagreement of design due to personal preference. I know it's not LTA approved but that doesn't mean certain aesthetics take a backseat. If it doesn't hurt or blind other road users, I feel that it is acceptable. Unlike people who fix HID lights without leveller and proper kit or use high beam to intimidate and irritate others, normal people who fix LED DRLs are just making their ride slightly more visible and safer.

 

Anyway, according to LTA, any non-OEM LEDs fixed on your vehicle including your number plate lights are illegal. Your choice.

 

thanks for the recommendation, but I dont like this design leh.

Plus most likely is not LTA approved.

Anyone installed side mirror auto fold module?

 

I was told by the SE when went for 1,000km servicing that it is not advisable to install autofold module, due to malfunctioning of the modules.

 

Not sure if this advice is good or not though

Hi would like to check for 2nd half tank of petrol it seems to deplete faster than 1st half. Do you guys experience it or its due to the shape of the tank?

Hi Altis owners,

 

Just wondering if any of you have upgraded the free 3M solar film to the crystalline ones? If yes, how much additional? If no, is the basic film good enough to filter out heat under noon sun?

 

Do you think it is worth it to upgrade to crystalline?

Yup think its better to upgrade the basic solar film is crap. Especially the front passenger and driver sides and literally feel the heat penetrating in. I had to go to infratint to get better films for the front 2.

The SE quoted about $300 for upgrade and she said only back will be changed to crystalline. So weird.

I am able to feel the difference between 3M basic and 3M crystalline since I had both. Better do a good one than tear it down and do again.

I do not know about the new model. But in the previous model I had drove, the 1st half depletes slower. Probably due to the V-Shape. I can drive close to 350-380km till it reach the Half tank mark.

 

Ya new model is experiencing this too?

You might want to check what is the "exact" package. For reference, my package is

 

FWS - C90

FSW Right & Left - C90

BWS - HP50

BSW Right & Left - HP50

 

I am guessing C90 is Crystalline and HP50 is the FX-High Performance.

I cannot find any "technical" data for the Crystalline.

 

3M™ FX-HP Window Film HP 50
This light metallized film is designed primarily for the automotive market where a high visible light transmission film is desirable and allowed by state law. HP-50 allows 52% of visible light through the glass. It rejects heat, reduces glare and retards interior fading

 

Based on my package, it seems correct that only the back or the back side windows can be change to Crystalline but I feel the price is too steep.

 

Do take note that the rear windshield defroster grid thus not sure if that will have any adverse effect if the C90 is used instead of HP50.

 

Also, I am just not sure how effective the window films would be when a car is parked under hot sun for extend period.
