Hi all... May I check if it's poss to prevent the aircon from auto switching to let the external air from coming in?

I noticed that whenever I set the temperature to 24°C, it will auto switch from internal air circulation to external air circulation (Not sure if I m using e right terms to describe)

Is there any way to get around this?

Many thks in advance for sharing! :)

Press the button twice or hold. Cant rem. Or set aircon lower than 21. Mentioned before somewhere...

I kept insisting on wanting to change leather my SE said cannot. Nb. I do agree. The sub does cause a bit of headache intensifying vibration. Do you do double layer or single layer on door? Sub only on front two doors ya?

Sub is only in driver's door. There is lack of equaliser settings for this sound system but can reduce the bass in HU settings to reduce vibration in door. Only did the more ex single layer which mi offered. Got some effect la. Door close with nicer thud.

Your se bulls**t u... got a whole range of leather Colours to choose. Anyway the black leather they provide by default also locally fitted. It's a soft leather but doesn't last well under daily use after 20k km or so can see quite a lot of crease lines on the seats.

The door insulation is more to suppress the boomy effects from the sub located at driver's door. If u play music with heavy bass the door panel vibrates quite a lot. After the sound proof, bass sound more solid and less vibration on door panel. anyway, sound quality is at best decent for the hk system. Speakers were kinda weak.

Hi. I'm experiencing rattling sound on driver's door whenever the bass kicks in while the passenger side is fine. Is it normal or need to do insulation to rectify? And how much for the insulation by MI? Thanks.

On the centre dial, press the internal circulation first, then turn the dial to on the aircon or adjust the fan speed.

The HU really sucks. What for have a sound system when only 3 band. The fna one seems better with 6. Edited by Andyngps

It's very normal as the door inside is very hollow, like most jap cars. They tried to squeeze the sub into the driver's door, and it causes the door panel to vibrate and u get the rattling sound. It's damn irritating. Can't recall how much I paid for but I offset with duo pints. Heh.

The forester is value for money for sure, if bro are not in a hurry , better wait till next year where the new design and safety features are added in, but I believe it will be 15-20k more and too close to the harrier turbo by then

One of the SE told me next year no more bringing in of XT liao, all will be NA.

Good day

I am new to this forum, thinking of getting a Forester IP, however, noted on the updated price list, they have changed the IP to IL. May I know is there any differences on these two models? Thanks

thats very sad, with so much "problems" mentioned above it will be a better all round buy if we get the harrier turbo now if one can afford the higher price, have tested both and i feel this harrirer turbo is well balance all round.

but the XT AWD is good

i-L is supposed to be the lower end model, for example (no sunroof, no digital center console) I honestly don't know why MI has changed it to i-L from i-P. Should check with SE what's the difference, there's a chance that there might not be any changes.

Good observation, never counter-check if the price list is i-P or i-L. I think it is just a typo on Motor Image part, I pulled out 2 other older price list from SG carmart and both had i-L on them (below). But you may want to check with the SE to confirm.

This IL with lower CO2 emission (150 compare to 182). No wonder they said the FNA will not have any surcharge compare to the XT from next year.

Supersonic

Funny thing is that the Forestor XT has been around for a while.

Good car but many ppl didn't quite take too much notice of it.

Then Harrier turbo is launched.

Suddenly everyone wanted the FXT.......(incl ICA!)

LOL

Guess who is getting the new FXT?

Glen Tan probably offered them a good deal on some no frills cars..

Wonder if it's the FXT or FNA?
