Funny thing is that the Forestor XT has been around for a while.

Good car but many ppl didn't quite take too much notice of it.

Then Harrier turbo is launched.

Suddenly everyone wanted the FXT.......(incl ICA!)

LOL

Not sure about others but yes, I am one of 1st few to put sgd3k refundable deposit for the harrier turbo as well as test drove it (twice just to be sure) but made the mistake of testing comparable 350nm turbo charged car excluding 200k+ type and realised the different response ...LL to inked the fxt thereafter ..lol !

thats very sad, with so much "problems" mentioned above it will be a better all round buy if we get the harrier turbo now if one can afford the higher price, have tested both and i feel this harrirer turbo is well balance all round.

but the XT AWD is good

Hi Datura,

Think some or most can afford another 30k for the harrier turbo or just extend the loan period but no, I do think FXT is a betta choice and hence I inked one.

Cheers.

One of the SE told me next year no more bringing in of XT liao, all will be NA.

Ya ..cos Subaru Japan is not interested to spend Development $ for variant to cater for the small Singapore and compete with Harrier Turbo at almost the same price range. Edited by richard_crl032

Better to head down to MI for a better pricing. It shouldn't be so high.

for a benchmark, i got mine at 123800 back last year.

Shox87,

Was 123800 non guaranteed 8 bid with 2k tradein discount last weekend but already announced 1k up and there was 4k up after coe increased and perhaps Yen exchange rate or Subaru Japan side.

Btw, no price increase of Harrier Turbo after COE increase for bros who are still deciding ...MI seems to be supremely confident of selling of the last few ordered units of only silver fxt ..lol !

Cheers.

Glen Tan probably offered them a good deal on some no frills cars..

Wonder if it's the FXT or FNA?

My only problem with Subaru here is the bare bone trim. I always say is a good car. Good traction even though some say in sg context don't need awd but even taking a bend like the ecp rochor exit can feel the diff.

Extra $250 after nego from $500.

Surface looks nice, but the workmanship is haiz... see carefully the end trimmings got misalignment, both driver and front seats got Long fabric all tucked underneath... dun say Liao. Typical bad workmanship by local contractor. ..

Oh i din know can nego. Paid 500 for mine.  [smallcry]

Agreed on the worksmanship. Mine had a hole at the rear bench. Din really see this during collection till recently.

My colleague was checking on your ex ride ytd. He asked me can buy anot.  :XD: i saw the red FXT and think must be yours.

Many mention that the dash is very dated looking. It's just nice for me. Don't really like fancy dash with alot of different layers of material. My complaint is probably the door with the hard plastic.

Actually the FNA is pretty good value for money as an awd/part time 4wd SUV, not vs those crossover but disguised as SUV

Hard to find a competitor at that price point of 105k thereabt based on current coe.

Part time? All of them are real time awd isn't it

i dun mean forester. I am referring to comparing AWD forester vs some of the 2WD/4WD switchable SUV.

Hi Richard,

Apologies if I wasn't clear in my explanation for the breakdown of the price.

Quoted 127800, -1000 ex stock, -2000(trade-in), -1000(can't rem but i think its gotta do with the loan IIRC), but i went for 6bid G package.

My ex fxt car plate should be SLQxxxx. Internal organs all good as I do regular servicing with motul. Tires are 24k km old Michelin primacy 3. Suspension and brakes all strong. Only quirks are the occasional creaky front seats, awd alignment a bit off and slight steer to left, and squeaky and spongy brake pedal ( but braking performance quite ok).

Lastly, mileage a bit high. 34k in 1 year 2 months...

It's one of the cheaper units in sgcarmart.

For a 5 seater performance SUV at about 100k is a good buy.

Lastly, it comes with quite a lot of paint chips, some small dents and a few scratches if u look close enough. Lol

Ask him think carefully if he needs a awd 2L turbo SUV. Awd is fun if u try to push the fxt near to its traction limits disregarding the amount of body rolls... the linear power delivery is smooth and can be addictive but often overkill in our local traffic. Fc can be ok or can be very bad depends on traffic and routes and right foot.

during my time i also had 3 colors to choose from only.

white, blue and grey. Silver & bronze were out of stock. If choose those colors, no 1k discount as it is not considered existing stock.

Wow ðð

Who are they going to chase using this the FXT?

FXT.

The rim is very obvious already.

Ya. And only FXT have silver roof rails

I'm sorry to bring the discussion back to window films... in our weather, i feel the one thing we need to invest is a good set of film, especially plus sunroof.

I went with Cool N Lite... my 4th time/ car with them... this last installment, the installer refused to let me drive off until he rectified a small bubble he found when the car was moved outdoors for final checks. I wouldn't call their pricing cheap but I feel worth.

It's ok, it's a change from the chat on FC ;)

Yes, a good solar film is quite important. For a ten year investment, get a nice one.

well said. I sometimes feel quirky when i see some cars with bubbles/blur wavy lines all over the windshield/windscreen.

i totally agree. Solar film is a very important investment for our cars.

I went with 3M with all my previous cars. No complains.

FC should never be a topic in the first place for SUV, especially for Subaru. :)
