Thank you all guys for the advise. After feeling the break for the first time yesterday, have been keeping distance from the front car. After one day driving, seems the FC is quite ok, around 9-10/100km, while can get up to 6/100km on high way at moderate speed. Quite satisfied. Will keep monitoring in the future.

After 2 tanks (~52L each) of esso 8000, I'm getting 8.6L/100km (11.6km/L) on avg for each tank on my fxt. Always on i mode, in mixed driving 60hw 40city.

Just collected FXT today. Notice the mats are carpet type. Where to get rubber mats....preferably sized to the FXT?

Facebook mad about mats, Ivan.

I got my mats from him.... cheap and good.

They just do away with the promo lor and give list -2k or something like that from list price, so buyer still thinks he got a discount.

Did my 1k servicing this morning at tpy. They use shell helix 5w40 mineral oil. Also did the auto fold for $150 (offset $100 using my duo points). Don't u guys think 5w40 is too thick for forester? Manual put 5w30 or 20. Maybe I bring my own engine oil when changing to full synthetic at 10k.

Hope no price increase after this latest round of COE rocketing up.

Hope to make my decision this weekend to sign. My CO approval required.  :a-bang:

It's for running in of the engine, that's y the oil change interval is so short.

I didn't know they used mineral oil.  FC will likely get better after 10K mileage when the engine is run in and using synthetic oil.

I don't think they will allow you to use your own engine oil or any other parts even if it's the same as what they use.  furthermore, MI is known to be super strict on warranty matters.

this is to avoid any disputes when it comes to warranty/repair claims... try putting yourself in their shoes and you will understand

I've checked with them. For 1k and 5k using mineral oil. After which is synthetic. Can bring own oil but they wun refund money for oil. They even offer motul oil of u TOP up. If the top up is reasonable maybe I will take their motul oil.

At 1k plus km, I already getting 11+ km/L, if it can improve after changing to fully synthetic, that will be great!
