Collected my ride last week. Just found out that I am unable to wind down the window for the front passenger window from my driver side. But the control over at front passenger side is able to. Gonna send it in tmr.. anybody experienced it ?

Pull and hold the wind up switch on the driver side, let the oil flow.

My new car Solar film have bubble, send in for my first service complain, they say cannot do it at the service centre, need to send to Jurong new car preparation centre for replacement, anyone here can advise if it is true?

Me too. Bought cheap LEDs with heat sink some more for my ex car to use as license plate lights.

It blew in about 3 weeks.

The heat dissipation is comparable to halogen.

I thought LEDs are supposed to be cooler?

The LED light source are cool. You can touch an illuminated LED and not get burnt. It is the LED drivers that get hot. And it is the electronics in the drivers that fails when the heats gets to them.

It needs calibration. This happen if battery got disconnected.

Anyway, at the side that has problem, use its button to wind down the window. After that, pull and hold the wind up button, continue to hold the button for another few seconds (try do like 10 seconds for kiasuness) then release.

After that, you driver side control should work.

No need to go workshop...

They bring in the cars barebones cheaply. A lot of things are local fitted. Due to huge sales volume, the bloody local installers anyhow wack. So heng sway, sometimes lucky everything fitted nicely. Sometimes got problem here and there. Haiz. But still better than pay high price due to high omv.

But to ask customer to go all the way to new car centre is ... tmd crap after sales....

Personally, I find the service Advisors at LK tonne friendly and more helpful than the ones at Tpy... the Ines at Tpy all a bit yaya...

Bro, yours is dual or single horn ? I happen to look into my FXT engine compartment and it seems very packed , wonder if the mechanics have to remove the front bumper to install the horns just behind it which is the only space available. Thanks for your inputs.

In the old days, made in Japan is reliable. Nowadays this statement makes me think twice

My 4 made in japan cars experiences all ok ... I would still put my cash on mij cars.. sounds a bit like local political scene though

Just had my 10K servicing with motel 10w up to 40w ( on advise by SE ) for FXT. Top up fuel tank with Shell 98 and start monitoring FC with this new status .

For the 1st 60 km travelled with 95% highway and 5 % city drive , my fxt surprisingly managed around 15km per litre.

Subsequently , with up to 150km clocked ...and now about 50% highway and 50% deadbeat slow traffic in neighbourhood estates , FC was around 11.4km/ litre.

Seems like pretty good improvement in FC if u use motul combined with 98 fuel. Another sense is that if u drive with smooth quick acceleration, the car gives u better FC . Noticed also 98 fuel give the Forester a smoother and quieter ride even perhaps quicker pick up.
