Thanks! Sounds like MI visor is the way to go.

 

How much Dou points are given when we buy the car? Is it standard for everyone?

Points differ depending on amt spent. Can check with ur SE. He or she will have a slight idea roughly how much. Did your SE hand u the Duo rewards membership sign up form? If no please prompt him or her as i read before SE nv help customer sign up.

 

Btw cost for the MI visor is 180, labour 40. All in plus gst is $235.40. I paid $35.40 the rest offset with duo. Maybe you can compare with the link Richard shared with you and then decide which is better for you.

1) the sound with the visor from MI to me is not too bad. But end of day depends on individual.

 

2) the MI visor is good cuz it is very flush and is secured with clips and tapes. That might be the reason why i find the sound ok. Frankly i didn't find much sound with the windows up. Windows down definitely can hear diffrence. Waiting also gives u the option of using Duo points to cover. I paid only partial for installation after deducting.

 

3) 1 week plus 2 weeks for my case. I think most are like that.

He was talking about a fellow forester who was remarking that he rather do 2 layer of Zen than one 3M crystalline. I think that that person being mentioned should be yourself.... lol

Indeed yours truly.. 2 layers of Zen for our big and non tinted glass will be much cheaper than 1 layer of 3M crystalline that is already proven ineffective.

 

Moreover, it will be almost dustless and scratch free since 1st layer new new before 2nd layer is applied.

 

I would also not have opt out of free MI's and just add 2nd layer for most vfm option.

Please note MI will void electrical warranty if u install third party item that connect to Forester obd and face trouble later. MI will not repair your vehicle until you restore back to original condition with charges

Just use a small piece of plastic material to shaft it between that button to make it depressed permanently.
