Just use a small piece of plastic material to shaft it between that button to make it depressed permanently.

Hi Victor,

Tried in mazda but error after a while cos bcm thinks shorted switch.

You tried ? For how long and still ok ?

This obd one also comes with auto hazard lights when door opens and whrn reversing.

Cheers.

Please note MI will void electrical warranty if u install third party item that connect to Forester obd and face trouble later. MI will not repair your vehicle until you restore back to original condition with charges

yes, i also heard that someone installed that $150 autolock on FNA and MI check the ECU and ECU was lock. It is due to the autolock as once it is remove, MI can access the autolock. OBD reader was not working when he inserted into the ECU that why he send in for servicing to ask if the OBD connect is damage and once MI checked and notice the ECU was locked, MI void his whole car warranty. I think he manage to get back the warranty after removing all the 3th party accessories.

So if FNA want to install, may need to remove when going for servicing. Do at your own risk!

One of the senior mechanics in MI mentioned can be deactivated. New owners remember to ask during the workshop.

Hi Epsilon

Fortunately mine so far ok after 30k service but how to void whole car warranty ?

Mean cannot claim warranty for nonrelated and mechanical aircon radiator leak or headunit touch screen failure ... hope bros dun accept such MI SE's statement if indeed true ..lol !

Anyway if indeed void would be voided still even if removed mentioned 3rd party accessories since recorded in service log as mentioned ... think nothing voided and MI just request to remove to update some software via same occupied obd port that is blocked if owner did not get multi sockets like me with autolock, pivot ethrottle, bt dongle etc. ... hahaha !!

Cheers.

Richard

Hi Offtangent,

Stick to priority of electrical stuff like blackvue, autofold mirror and alarm/speed lock to avoid warranty void of related components.

Do also consider upgrade rear wrx sti ARB (200+) on the key ride comfort issue with forester to alleviate the floaty and row your boat feeling especially for rear passengers or  if priority is on ride stability and comfort, top up of 1.25k for both ARB and STI pink spring which leave you nothing left.

Forget about getting tint of sunroof which outside shops can do cheaply as compared to MI and without any warranty void concern.

Cheers,

Richard

Yup, SE told me only left silver colour. :(

Hi HoLee,

Same situation back in Aug 2017 when I booked my forester xt ... SE says I can choose all colors as long as they are silver  :a-confused:  [bounce1]

But it turned out fine cos easy to maintain and can look mighty nice  [:p]  [bounce2]

Cheers.

Great advice Richard! What exactly is the ARB and STI pink spring though, I have heard a bit of the pink spring but not really the pink spring

MI will not upgrade/change of STI pink spring for FNA, only FXT, you can drop this idea. Go gather at least one bro, order direct from japanparts n install yourself better.....

ARB = Anti Roll Bar is good for FNA, must do it.... [thumbsup]

If your FNA is non-sport version, can consider add on the followings;

1. Cargo step panel (resin) - nice!

2. Door/window visor - MI original one is solid and nice fitting, unlike those aftermarket one...

3. Front sensor either 2P or 4P, if you got balance leftover and want to be utilized it immediately... [smash]

Btw, what i heard from other bro, the speed lock from MI is currently out of stock..... [:p]  good luck, also the car camera, think MI changed other vendor, no longer for blackvue? [confused]

Hi Titanic,

Standard handling .. if indeed trouble and claiming warranty, pls removed related parts.

But if mod, cannot worry too much .. btw the way autolock obd is not connected to the typical obd that connects to both ecu and bcu .. the pivot ethrottle that is 2 wires to 12v power only and bluetooth odb reader are .. lol !

Scare dun mod and mod dun scare meh .. and 3 yrs later all same same no more warranty except engine and gearbox up to 5 yrs .. keke !

Cheers.

Hi Tangent,

Oops .. din know MI wun install available and different part number pink springs for fna as nicely advised by bro Titanic together on rear anti-roll bar but does so for fxt ... dun understand the rationale except they dun stock for fna.

Wait 6 months then or after 10k when all verified ok if concern on warranty issues of related parts .. there is no blanket void of warranty as some bros seemingly are concern with unless owners accept void of warranty for spoilt headunit if change rims cos different offset and arguably will affect load on drive axles .. lol !

Cheers.

HI bros

I did my wheel alignment at kenny wheel alignment yesterday after changing to pink springs about a month ago.

Now I feel that the steering pulls to the left abit.

Is it normal or I go back to the workshop to ask them to take a look?

Had the same problem as you. Was told by Kenny that this is a factory alignment problem. One way is to try switching the LF and LR wheels and check if it helps to correct the alignment.

Do you plan to get the Cusco touring A shocks too? I just installed mine at BKS Woodlands last Saturday. Currently on 10 clicks from softest and it’s very comfortable. I’ve not noticed any drop in handling performance going round corners or high speed stability. No weird sounds (which is quite common for aftermarket suspension)

If your car is already about 3 yrs old, can consider changing the front top mount bearings which about $140 for 1 pair. Or else if you need to change later on, the whole front suspension has to be removed and do wheel alignment again.

Can ask if you pair the cusco touring A with stock springs or pink springs? Yours is FXT or NA?

Ya... you are right.... if mod cannot scare.... if scare then stay stock..... lolzz..... advise to the new FNA bro...

Mine coming 1 year, electrical warranty also over, but the one as mentioned is MI void the whole car warranty.... [sweatdrop]

Anyway, the pivot throttle control is nice toy..... meet the acceleration as you needed, rather than only I or S mode two option... which I is under power, S is power but not comfort.... now can adjust the power n comfort of drive.... not bad! [thumbsup]
