Iâm still looking for the rear control arms though. Hoping to find someone who is gonna dekit or something. I thought I saw @Doggyfoo selling but contact to no avail. Lol.

The part number for Cusco is quite confusing. I should be getting all my parts installed by next week. Still got a few small items sitting in the boot of the car.

Hi Freon,

The cusco rear lateral arm for camber is for wrx but suitable for our forester and hence not listed.

Seller often refer this as rear and the toe as front which further confuses buyers ... took me a while to understand after hours of asking my good friend .. google search .. keke !

Cheers.

Richard,

Yes, I was reading the forums and I saw you sharing the info but I realised it’s a little hard to use Japanparts to search. I think some workshops carry Hardrace and this is somewhat similar to Cusco in terms of adjustment. Might just go with that I suppose. Don’t think I can wait patiently for shipping from Japan again now that the dampers are here. Haha.

Have a good day ahead. TGIF.

Hi Freon,

Can wait one ... let damper settle down 1-2 weeks before cusco lateral camber link arrives for realignment since wun damage your tyre so quickly.

Cusco is VFM and allows best adjustability along with Jap quality and not Taiwanese.

Just PM you more addictions ... lol !

Cheers.

I actually arranged to go for an alignment after the suspension change. With the lowering springs, wouldn’t it affect the drive immediately? Although the tyres may not wear out so fast. And with regard to safety, I think I’ll go do the alignment while waiting if I have to. Haha!

I actually saw the email notification before I saw this thread and I got a shock at the sheer amount of POISON in there. I appreciate the assistance in the continuous poisoning. LOL.

Oh, I actually went to Roy to “fix” the c-lights. He managed to find a power source to permanently turn on the c-lights upon ignition. He told me I was the first one ever to ask of such a mod to the lights. -.- so tempted to change the headlights to those Tabao ones too with the curved c-lights.

Hi Freon,

I would advise alignment only after 1-2 week for the new dampers to settle down and yes, it will not require immediate alignment or unsafe.

BTW, touring A dampers are just dampers without lowered height which means little impact on camber, toe etc. and it is the lowered pink or other springs that affects the most but it is also just minor drop of 15mm ... however, my camber did became worst with the touring A dampers ... dunno ... lol !

Cheers,

Richard

PS:  Good news on Roy getting C lights running and you are welcome to the poisons shared ... keke !

Hi Richard,

I’m installing the Touring As with RSR springs though. Hence the decision to go for the alignment after. In any case, I’ll see what the man advices when I head down for installation.

Separately, you do have tonnes of mods on your car and some are really practical ones. I wonder how much you’ve spent on those mods already. Haha.

Hi Freon,

Aaah .. rsr springs .. Ti version or not ?

Not sure about non-TI version while Ti version tried many times and found it very stable and nice .. more so than pink springs but it is more abrupt aka harsh when road condition is no good.

Hope your rear arb is stock or at least not the hard whiteline even at softest setting.

The rsr spring drops 25mm compared to 15mm for the pink spring and yes, you will need adjustable camber rear lateral link.

Not sure how much spent but booked the harrier turbo and had excess budget when I switched to forester xt after test drove both ... believe spent in excess or this excess budget but enjoyed and earned the experience of these mods after days, weeks amd montha of research with my good friend .. google search engine .. keke !

Enjoy your new toys .. cheers.

Good morning!

I’m not sure if my RSRs are Titanium version or not. I got it second hand and I didn’t ask. The spring rates are the same regardless but I understand titanium would prolly be a lot stronger in terms of longevity?

Hi all,

Would like to seek opinion from bros here.

Lately, the right side mirror of my FNA is unable to fold or unfold intermittently. I am not sure it's a problem with the gear assembly or motor? Called up a workshop, they told me need to change the whole piece as the motor or gear assembly is too small to change. No quote given as need to check with stockist on Monday.

Any bro here encountered this before and has lobang to fix this?

Bring back to MI if your car is still within 3 years (60,000km). Can get it replaced under warranty.

Else you have to pay for the repair or bring out to external workshops for repair/replacement.

I read someone actually had the same problem and had their motors replaced for less than $100. The post was pretty recent. You may have to find the right workshop else everyone is gonna ask you to replace the entire wing mirror due to the higher profit I suppose.

Hello. Just done my 30000 km svcing at MI. As many already know, they are using the subaru-motul 5w30 syn oil as default now. Not sure if it makes a diff from the shell helix 5w40 they used to provide.

I like to ask if anyone know any workshop which can upgrade the existing SJ boot auto tailgate button feature to include a "close and lock" function once the button is pressed and the price. Thanks.

Hi folks, anyone know where to get the fender set for SJ similar to Kaddis from Japanpart in Singapore?

From Lazada or taobao... read the reviews and saw it on the road.... doesn’t look quite fitting though
