Lucille 3rd Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 Haha.. probably true... Got your COE for your Mondeo? Yup 😎 Very stoked about it !!! Booked 2 days after July's 2nd bidding after price reduction. RM secured it at the 1st try with 'paper' gain of 2K plus for my COE so it's fair to say that I am 1 happy customer thus far. Looking forward to collecting at the end of the month. zzzzzz 1st Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 Will coe quota go up any further or this is the peak liao ?? Since it has reach march 2009 level.. will quota go higher ? I wonder could it happen such that next quarter lesser quota if more car owners renew coe instead of scrap car ?
Icy2fire 2nd Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 SE working for Nissan and Mazda spotted..... There is a different between ... "1 Bid Guaranteed" , "1 Bid Guaranteed COE" and "1 Bid Guaranteed COE without top-up". Gosh. Is buying car so complicated now? Guarantee still can refund or ask for top up? Carleon8 Clutched August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 Don't worry, you will sure get it in the next round C&C almost always get it for buyers in the first round. Check the bid, it may be an unintended error in the bidding or someone underestimated the late rush Go press your SE for compensation of mental anguish How do I know the bidder ID? Aukang 6th Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 Can any guru can explain the Significant Repercussions now that current CAT E price is lower than CAT B (this month & last month - 58146) on future COE prices thanks i am a NOT guru, but my simple layman take is that dealers afraid to stock up on Cat E becuase they are uncertain of the future trend. Cat B shoot up becuase they got orders on hand to fill. If there are some orders that are non-guranteed, you can be sure to get a call from your friendly SE to tell you...."I told you so la...get guranteed for just a few more K you don't want...now cannot get...and judging (must take this one with a lump of salt) from the trend...COE sure go up...so i recommend you top up asap to secure your new car in next round." Guess what? Self fulfilling prophesy mah...COE will go up lor...this is common sales tactic... my layman take again...once all thse self fulfilled prophesy orders are filled, the COE price will drop because there will be more COEs to replace those cars taken off the road...

flashbang Turbocharged August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 There is a different between ... "1 Bid Guaranteed" , "1 Bid Guaranteed COE" and "1 Bid Guaranteed COE without top-up". Hmm so what is the difference? 1 bid guaranteed coe without top-up means confirm plus chop you will get your car during the next bidding exercise even if COE suddenly shoots up 10k? Aukang 6th Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 Actually this can be consider karma... If buyers have not been panic into driving the market insanely and disrupting the sales pattern, maybe today I might have already bought a new car and I would not be in this forum at all. Then I would not have done this over-the-top analysis of COE patterns and learn so much how how it works. Bro Limwsv, you can write a thesis and become an expert in local transport matters specialising in COE history and trends liao :)

Ben5266 Supercharged August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 Can someone tell me why someone would pay more for CAT B than buying a CAT E? Because the bidding decision is not by the buyer but the dealers! Pushing the price up 2k, next round can sell the car $2k more. Then, use the cheaper Cat E to deliver car in case Cat B run up in next round. If Cat B drop, pocket extra.
Huskybeckham 1st Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 mine is Cat A and I didn't get it this time. :( Ghost month around the corner (14th Aug to 12 Sept) covering next two bids. For some, they may whole purchase and it also could contribute to a surge of orders this round. (Customer may even request SE to get the COE and register before 14th August). Lets see what happens the new two bids ;)

Lets see what happens the new two bids ;) thanks for your comments, to a certain extent , chinese 7th month does affect a "certain group" of buyers ... so technically speaking ... prices should drop within this special month.... we need see ... going back to office 2molo to pull up bloomberg chart and see past history price movements if this theory holds any ground any request from the ground => CAT A or CAT B ? Judas 1st Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 Can someone tell me why someone would pay more for CAT B than buying a CAT E? If Cat B is below rebate level, then have to refund. Not for Cat E. So can save the refund. What happened? I thought many said showrooms were empty and lukewarm response to the promotions last 2 weeks? 😂 I thought the popular brands are packed?? Dark 5th Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 Can someone tell me why someone would pay more for CAT B than buying a CAT E? I guess no one can guess this would happen until bidding is closed. will80 1st Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 (edited) CAT A 56K CAT B 59K If COE continue to drop, people will continue to wait. By increasing the COE a bit, it will send a signal to buyer that COE had reach it's lowest point and it's time to enter. Now those potential buyers will be thinking really hard whether is it the time to buy now. Edited August 5, 2015 by will80
Cheonge 1st Gear August 5, 2015 Share August 5, 2015 Nope, C&C I don't quite understand why I didn't get it when CAT A went up by only $300. Mine CAT A drop $590 cannot get, 2 weeks later CAT A drop another $5000 still can't get my COE. I ask my SE, she say coz I never take the guarantee COE and they have 4 more bids to try... I wonder could it happen such that next quarter lesser quota if more car owners renew coe instead of scrap car ? The quota should be somewhere around the peak liao, in fact it has slightly gone beyond the car population equilibrium point... any more release will be eating into the quota during the famine years (2020-2023).... let's see if anything policy change from Jan2016 after elections. ↡ Advertisement
