tlt3668 2nd Gear May 6, 2017 Share May 6, 2017 Actually I am currently looking at either the PS4 or the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 3, can anyone who has experience with these 2 tyres gives feedback in term of gripping power in both wet and dry condition, wear rate and road noise. Thanks in advance. ↡ Advertisement

Confusedboi Supercharged May 6, 2017 Share May 6, 2017 what size and profile? 205/55/R16 tyres. Loving the grip that this tyre provides though maybe its overkill for my under powered ford focus. Still tyres are worth spending more on for a good set.
Ahbengdriver 6th Gear May 9, 2017 Share May 9, 2017 read http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/91856/tyre-reviews-best-car-tyres-20162017 Michelin will always be better than Goodyear. Maybe when the tyres are new they feel similar for first 2 to 3k km. Afterl that, the real thing kicks in. if you don't drive hard, I guess GY will do but if if you drive a Cheetah, better spend a bit more on Michelin.

Eh bro how come you suddenly decide to support Michelin again. Thought you said Goodyear AS3 might be a good replacement for your set of PSS?
Ahbengdriver 6th Gear May 18, 2017 Share May 18, 2017 2 reasons: 1. I bought "9128" and tio Bay-Sai. $5 small nia. 2. I had a bad dream that GY AS3 side wall cracked (just like my previous GY AS1) and I slided and rear ended a TP bike.

Xcluded Clutched June 3, 2017 Share June 3, 2017 Changed from worn out bridgestone ecopia ep200 to this since yesterday. Brief experience so far, can really feel the difference in terms of stability, handling and grippiness. Very happy so far.
espeyap 1st Gear June 3, 2017 Share June 3, 2017 Still not much feedback? I need some advice regarding the different between Pilot Sport 4 Agent (made in Thailand) vs PS4 Parallel Importer (made in German) What is the basic different in term of performance and typical lifespan? What is the different in term of pricing? The tyre size I am talking is 225/45R18. Thank You

What is the different in term of pricing? The tyre size I am talking is 225/45R18. Thank You Not much. I've used both. I got the first batch of 225/45/18 German made PS4. I clocked about 30k km on them and they still have a lot of life left in them. I passed them to a relative before i scrapped my old car. They're much better than the Goodyear F1A3 and the PZero. I'm curious, what car are you driving cos this tire size is unique to only a few cars out there. Just changed the tires on my "new" car. I'm on 225/45/17 Thailand made PS4. The only thing you'll really notice is the difference in sidewall. The German one is rather flat while the Thailand made one isn't very flat. But these things aren't very obvious when the tires are installed. Performance wise, they are the same. I think pricing only differs by a few dollars. Maybe 10-20 dollars max. I paid 165 for my thailand made PS4 tires. I think the parallel import ones go for around 160-170.

So intend to change it to 225/45R18 as per manufacturer recommendation. That is why I am doing my research on the different brand of tyres. Finally yesterday I manage to obtain a reasonable quotation on the whole package with trade in. The different between PS4 and F1A3/PZero is just $20/pcs. But the only point to note is the PS4 is from PI made in Germany. The package price they quote me for PS4 is very close to what you have mention previously, Around $170/pcs. And my estimation of $900 for replica Rim - Trade in $600 will be a very fair and attractive deal.

There is a slight difference in sidewall but that difference is insignificant. If you look at tire tests that compare all 3 tires, you'd notice that Michelin comes out as better than the other 2. After trying out goodyear f1a3 & f1a2 and the pzero, i can say that ps4 is the best among them. Once you get a set of Michelin tires, you don't wanna use any other brand. Another thing to note is how the PS4 doesn't squeal in carparks like the other brands. Those who have been on PSS will notice this as well
