Agreed, Altis pricelist from 107k drop to 103k now. They are giving us the sign on which direction is the COE heading for this bidding [laugh]

Promotion would be like Altis price drop season( only 1 weekend promo), the back log is stretch up to 4 months !

Unless is low selling model like Mits(may request my Japan to hit certain target). Otherwise AD like BM I don't think they will sacrifice their profit margin to bid high at promotion price. So that why we can see the three weeks interval the demand still weak. They may wait for COE to drop also.

Glad to hear the COE at current value at $56K CAT A is tapering down. Taking Toyota being the leader in the car market is quoting 4K less in Altis does show the future market is gloom. Additional, the market has suffered quite bad on low oil price and it will not get better in 2016. Even banks have stayed away from Oil and Gas investment announced recently.

All category will be down this Dec bid. [smash]

As usual in for Page 1.

COE will be going UP after most, if not all AD/PI cut the selling price of car at weekend.

SE has been telling buyers to book and secure the car now to avoid interest rate hike.

There is steady stream of buyers appearing at most showroom over both sat and sun.

If you do the sums, the higher interest for a $60k loan over 5 years at 2.5% vs 3.0% is $1,500.

So if COE falls $1,500 in the next year when interest rate goes up 50bp, it will be no difference to buyer.

The sales tactic on mindset is the same per earlier this year on the CEVS rebate.

Expecting it to hold strong or even hike up. End of year is a good time to pick up a new car just in time for the annual CNY haolian session.

I don't think so.

I was in KM Ubi on Saturday noon.

There were 10+ SE but with only 4-5 groups of people browsing.

I told the SE don't need to entertain me as I was waiting for my car.

He said never mind and intro me the HRV.

Interest up to 22 Dec is still 1.88% and will be 2.8% after that.

Ody, $152,999. Free upgrade to guaranteed coe. Rebate at $57,000.

If tomorrow Cat B is $50k, nett price for Ody will be $146k only.

If.... [laugh]

One model drop in price and you concluded coe price down n economic conditions are gloomy? How come you think in such a naive manner?

Wah, I will go this weekend if Cat B turns out to $50k.. Sure, more price drop will be on the horizon !! Lol..

Anyway, I was not there, but I expect BM will have more crowd. Seriously, with Honda & Kia did not cut price by much, I did not expect Altis price will drop by $4k.. $102k for Standard Altis could be attractive..

Lastly, we should not forget another factor.. The announcement for COE quota for Feb is next month.. Surely, those who speculated the quota will rise, will wait till announcement, which will normally bring price down..

I was thinking why not renew COE since the price is down trend. Moreover, the rebate of COE is transparent.

Owner will have a better prediction of the PQP.

Down side, you are still driving the Lau pork car unless do up all interior leather
