Gnahp Turbocharged January 11, 2025 Share January 11, 2025 gao tim spent most of the time doing cleaning, tonnes of brake dust inside the calipers and all the hardware spent a long time cleaning all the mating surfaces too, this car has a relatively large 360mm rotor, will wobble if it is not done properly

Gnahp Turbocharged January 11, 2025 Share January 11, 2025 I also use chapalang brands before got to spray a lot to clean, slow drying and some left a residual film this one just need to squirt a bit, use until the aerosol can rusted still cannot finish everything says on the can is true except "less odor" this thing stink like super glue when evaporated will feel gong gong if I sniff in too much
Gnahp Turbocharged January 11, 2025 Share January 11, 2025 I am impressed by the tolerance of the parts the new brake rotor fits to the hub sui sui, no gap for even a strand of hair I've changed some angmo chia brake rotor (original part) before, the clearance was horrendous

A bit unnecessary right? I just my hand. Touch all 4 rims and can tell. 🤣. i’m sure you also put brake grease on the backs and touch points of the pads. I don’t believe that you dare to start to ask for $200 for labour. 🤣 if you do, I think we will not hear from you soon…… 🤣 Edited January 12, 2025 by Mkl22

SIM37 4th Gear February 3, 2025 Share February 3, 2025 I drive a AtoB budget Attrage. I found the Pads : https://s.shopee.sg/9KSjKQQ2R6 Cause the Perodua viva uses the same brake pads Its about $20 Change very 30-50k (Depends on wear/tear and guide of 4mm left) Disc rotor (I changed around 110k) https://s.shopee.sg/2qFFb8udGb All done outside my house by the side of the road.
Gnahp Turbocharged February 3, 2025 Share February 3, 2025 fundamentally, they are all the same just need to learn/pay attention to some model specific details i.e. how to retract the piston of those caliper with e-parking brakes

That’s very fast. But at $20, I hope it’s genuine. I moved from stock pads to endless pads. Oh boy the brakes are so much better. Got the ceramic dust free ones too. Totally no dust. Will never go back to stock pads. for rotors I will feel for the lip and sort of measure the thickness left. If not continue to use. sometimes the local recommendation of 2 sets of pads per rotor is also too premature. Heartlander Turbocharged February 4, 2025 Share February 4, 2025 This morning a security guard at my workplace pointed out to me that my Skoda Superb front left wheel is making loud metal grinding noise which i never notice due to loud music in my car. And the noise was truly loud after i took notice, But after stopping the car and starting the engine, the noise disappeared. And no fault messages on my dashboard all the while. And my car was able to brake normally during the drive to office. Can anyone advise if the fault most likely to be due to worn out brake disc and pad? Only changed it once in a previous car and it never gave out grinding noise. I am going to workshop to change the brake discs and pads today or tomorrow, as overdue already but had been thinking would do it when warning signs appear. But now better do it as my car might not have such sensors unlike Merc cars. ↡ Advertisement
