Why you all so lucky one  [smallcry]

Secured my COE today, hope can get my new sedan car in Mar.

Thank u Jp66 , I checked they submit different by few hundred

I believe yours is guaranteed package.

Maybe MI foresee COE may trend upward in next few rounds, so they secured NG packages first since yours has more buffer to withstand higher COE price. Who knows, maybe it is a blessing if yours is secured with higher COE.

just my 2 cents!

btw, i was lucky. MI revised my bid to $50,105 at 15:59:31 hrs.

Yeah, he does. It's a shame cause when I went back to the dealership our original SA was busy and I was in a rush so just found another (2nd visit of the day). Will fight for the car cam for sure.

Good SA plays an important role on the decision. Like your, mine sucks too, too business minded thinking about her commission.

FYI, usually Car Cam & Solar Film is factored in. Rest might be from their commission.

Just to get the short names correct so as to avoid confusion:

SE- Sales Executive, the sales guy who sold you the car

SA- Service Advisor, the guy who u will speak to when you send your car in for servicing.

Congrats to you guys who bought this car, price seems reasonable for a new model and Subaru known for good drives, hope you secure your COE if you have not already done so, cheers [thumbsup]

I assume u refer to 1.6 getting more power? 2.0 most if not all review says no power.

SA can be sales advisor. Anyway, so long we are talking about a sales of a car..u know I know or to each his/her own, No concern with confusion, unless repair or servicing of car comes into the picture.

i refer to the 2017 impreza in general.... 1.6 dont say, even 2.0 also 9.8s only. with CVT the FC is also not as good on paper.

no doubt imprezas will be be a dream cruising on the highway....but off the line might be a bit frustrating.

the interior looks pretty complete and technology up to date, perfect for leisure but those looking for competitive power (not racing) might feel a little...ugh

comparing entry level "conti" hatchback and the new impreza 5D, personally feel that in terms of interior quality / technology, improved ridigity + boxer engine mated to CVT should present a good fight in terms of overall ride refinement, less the FC and century sprint.

AWD saps the power. CVT "smooth gear change" only make the acceleration feeling worst which is partly holding me back on the purchase.

Had the salesperson gave me a better deal, I'll bragging about May getting a Race Red Sedan here.

Now adays, mostly CVT from Jap car exception Mazda 3 with 6 speed. 4 or 5 speed AT can forget it too.

u test drove? does the CVT give a humming sound esp on idle?

my ride has 6AT but feel that it is not as smooth as i thought it would be. maybe a CVT would improve on refinement and only impreza caught my eye

No , 6 bid no guarantee COE . SE told me first few batches the car leather is make in Japan , after that the rest is make in sg. Is it true?

Yes, test drove the 1.6. With gentle pedal, car acceleration was smooth. Did tried to press hard on the pedal and the typical vroom with RPM going to 4K plus without speed moving much, if any.

Did not notice any humming sound. The start stop was activated hence can't tell of the humming sound too.

Personally the 2.0 would be better off with the additional "gear" selection via pedal shift.

Ride was quiet for a AWD, of course don't compare to those Lexus. Handling of the car very stable.

For daily ride, with so much features is a steal. If you are looking for a "vroom vroom" feel then might be disappointed.

My sales did not talk much probably she herself not technically savvy. Only kept telling me about sport package, on the suede trim on the leather and sun roof. Did not even get her fact right on the carbon fiber look on the dashboard and claim "carbon fiber" trim on door handle is not a standard. [smash]

Unfortunately, the sales did not show me how to read the FC so can't provide information on this.

But with any AWD, don't expect there's no trade off.

The car cam & solar film factored in is usually with trade in or without?

Trade in the Sales will earn from both the new and old car, so don't be fooled by sales tactic that they these stuff will be taken off. After all the freebie are MI not the sales person.

It's nonsense to say that the price is less 2k or 4K so they cannot give out the freebies.
