Xin Yao Busker HDB Heartland Voice Not Bad!

Came across this busker at a HDB Town Center.  A busker, what's the big deal?

Well, the difference with this chap is that his guitar playing and singing was really good!  He had some guitar that was plugged to a speaker (which I think was battery powered, since no cables could be seen).  He had a mic.

The volume was fairly loud - bear in mind this is in the open, unshaded, with plenty of background noise.   The best part - people were giving him money, not just coins but notes.  In the 1 minute or so of this video, you see 3 onlookers dropping some money into his guitar case.  Pretty cool.  Wonder what he does for a living.  Is he a professional singer and this is his part time job?

Here is a video clip where you can see the people giving him money.

Reminds me of the visually handicap Kelvin Tan Wei Lian whom is a blind Singaporean Mandopop singer who earned a living as a busker before he won the first edition of Project SuperStar in 2005 :)

Always love to see those buskers giving more life to the buzz of our dailies.

Came across a unplug busker in mongkok area the last time I was in HK. His voice was superbly captivating...lots of soul in the songs he sang. Kids were very exhausted... otherwise I'd have stayed longer and ask for his details. Definitely a professional calibre.

Food and music are 2 things that are able to intertwine different cultures and races together easily.

Now lets sing together...

"we are the world, we are the children."

Not sure if he's the guy who plays at Clementi but if he is Clementi-ites will give him S$20 and my missus even saw someone put in S$50 and they didn't stop to listen but were just passing.

Per minute I reckon he earns more than the supergroups who play in Singapore.

Too much disposable income here.

Yes this guy has been singing at Clementi for a few months already, so far no star search agent spotted him yet.

But one error on the title is he is definitely not a xin yao singer.
