England's weakness this Euro2016 is obviously their defence and read in another article that Roy will be playing an attacking game as that is where England's strength lies this time to compensate for their obvious deficiency.

Look at the top 8 teams in BPL....

 

How many are English manager ?  none .. :ouch-it-hurts:

 

If Roy wants to depend on Rooney, might not reach quarter final also..... :ninja:

Roy is normally conservative so we may see a change from him. England has plenty of attacking options for once. Kane and Vardy are the top 2 EPL scorers, Alli is creative, Sterling and Townsend when on form likes to take on defenders so are potential match winners and we all know Wilshere is another creative influence if he can get back into stride quickly. Quarter final is the bare minimum for England as they don't have a tough group though depends who their 2nd round opponents are but shouldn't be an issue as they will play a 3rd placed team if they win their group and if they finish 2nd, they will play runner up of Group F whose only strong team is Portugal.

I feel to go far in tournament football or any Championship for that matter, a solid defence is always the foundation for success. The current England defenders are not at the same level as Terry, Ferdinand, Adams from past England teams so maybe the thinking is attack is the best form of defence but that said, this almost unheard of in modern football.

Ya bro very sad but the other great Italian Buffon is still there, this guy is an evergreen but guess goalies have longer careers. Italy National team always one of the teams to watch in any Championship!!

I don't really fancy their style of play - 11 men defence. Yes, Buffon is one of the greatest keepers in my book.

 

But particularly like their jerseys as if they were tailored by Valentino or Giorgio Armani.

At first I was split between Germany and France but I do believe French players are dangerous when playing on their homeland. Back in 1998, they won World Cup and 2 years later, they bagged the European Championship. So yeah, I would go with France. Team Germany is a great opponent, though.

France looks good... got rising superstars like Griezmann, Pogba and Kanter

 

but its defence is quite old, especially the full backs (Evra and Sagna???)

So far their homeground record is magnificent. Won 1984 Euro and 1998 World Cup at home.
