Suddenly Liverpool becomes very active in transfers ...

I only pickup the highlights. Can read the full stories with this link : https://sg.yahoo.com...-230127458.html

From Yahoo : Liverpool transfer news: The latest & LIVE player rumours from Anfield

1.  VAN DIJK TRYING TO FORCE LIVERPOOL MOVE

Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk has told the club he will only accept a move to Liverpool, according to the Mirror .

While Liverpool issued an apology to the Saints for improper contact with the defender and formally ended their pursuit, Jurgen Klopp has not abandoned hope of landing the centre-back.

2.  LIVERPOOL OFFERED JAMES RODRIGUEZ

Liverpool are among the clubs that have been offered Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez according to SPORT .

Rodriguez's agent Jorge Mendes has offered the Colombian international to the Reds, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Juventus, Manchester City and PSG, but none of the clubs have been willing to pay Madrid's asking price of €75 million.

3.  CELTA WANT LIVERPOOL TARGET

Celta Vigo are considering an approach for Borussia Dortmund winger Emre Mor, who has also been linked with Liverpool, according to Atlantico .

The Turkish teenager is highly rated but is tipped to leave Dortmund this summer, with Fenerbahce reportedly having already made a loan offer.

4.  LIVERPOOL COOL BALDE INTEREST

Liverpool have cooled their interest in signing Keita Balde from Lazio following previous reports of a £30 million bid being rejected, claims Calciomercato.com .

AC Milan have also ended their eagerness to sign the forward, who is out of contract in a year’s time, while Juventus are reportedly still keen on Balde.

5.  LIVERPOOL IN FOR ARGENTINE DEFENDER

Liverpool have lodged a £14.9 million bid in an effort to sign Emanuel Mammana from Lyon, The Sport Review claims.

The report claims Jurgen Klopp is keen to add reinforcements to his defensive line and is ready to offer the 21-year-old a five-year contract worth £2.8m per season.

6.  KEITA WANTS TO JOIN LIVERPOOL

RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita wants to join Liverpool, but the Reds may be forced to wait for the end of the transfer window, according to The Independent

7.  LIVERPOOL PLAN RICO BID

Liverpool are planning a €12 million bid for Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico, according to  ABC de Sevilla .

The Spain international has a €30m release clause, but the Reds are hopeful they can tempt the Liga side to sell for less.

8.  GIMENEZ COULD LEAVE ATLETICO

Jose Gimenez is considering his future at Atletico Madrid as the Uruguayan wants to be playing regular first-team football next season ahead of the 2018 World Cup, reports  AS .

Inter Milan have made an enquiry for the centre-half, who has also been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United.

9.  LIVERPOOL LOOKING AT ROBERTSON

Liverpool's search for a new left-back has led them to Hull City's Andrew Robertson, according to the Liverpool Echo .

The Reds are expected to part with Alberto Moreno this summer and have seen top target Ryan Sessegnon commit to a new contract at Fulham.

10.  LIVERPOOL DON'T WANT GHOULAM

Liverpool have ruled out a swap deal with Napoli which would see Faouzi Ghoulam move to Anfield and Alberto Moreno head in the opposite direction, according to the Liverpool Echo .

An £11 million bid for Moreno from Napoli has been rejected by Liverpool, who are seeking a straight £15m cash deal as Jurgen Klopp has no interest in signing left-back Ghoulam.

Hmmm......... Napoli, Faouzi Ghoulam ... [sly]

Who want "Gu Lan" aka cow balls ... :XD:

Three-way battle for Liverpool's first choice keeper - Klopp

(Reuters) - Liverpool goalkeepers Simon Mignolet, Lorius Karius and Danny Ward must all prove themselves and fight for a regular spot in the starting line-up, the Premier League club's manager Juergen Klopp said.

Belgium international Mignolet has been the preferred shot-stopper for Klopp, playing 31 games last season, with the German Karius limited to 16 games. The duo now face competition from Ward, a Wales international.

Ward, 24, spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Town and helped the club gain promotion to the top tier, making a crucial save in the play-off final penalty shootout to help his side beat Reading.

"That's very comfortable for the manager, three really good goalkeepers," Klopp told the club's website.

"It is like it is and nothing is decided. They can all show how good they are. I don't want to bring doubt so that they start doubting. We have three goalkeepers and they can all show what they are able to do, and then we will see who will start."

Mignolet, 29, said competition for a starting spot would be tough but the club's success next season is the top priority.

"All the goalkeepers will push each other to make sure we're ready for the games that are coming our way," Mignolet told the club's website.

"Of course you always do that (work to keep your place in the team) but the most important thing is that Liverpool plays a good season. So we have to make sure we prepare that as a group and then, of course, individually, (playing) is also important.

"But the team comes first and the club comes first to make sure we create success. That's the main thing throughout this pre-season and then hopefully we can prove that over the course of the season."

All three keepers will have a chance to show their mettle during Liverpool's pre-season campaign, which starts on July 12 against non-league side Tranmere Rovers.

Luis Suarez heaps praise on 'fantastic' Jurgen Klopp.

He is hinting he wants to come back.

Klopp should tell him to pack his bags.

He is the best goal scoring presser.

:D

First Pre-Season game tonight vs Tranmere

Think the lads are physically worn from all the running sessions, lots of young players will get 45 minutes and salah is not eligible yet.

Maybe it's time we start a new thread for 2017/2018? or rename this thread not just for 16/17
