Don't worry, the transmission is smarter than to engage the gear from neutral if it thinks that the RPM is too high.

there is alot of fuzzy logic being programmed into the modern day cars.

Although I wish some idiot drivers I met on the road had more mental processing power than my car's ECU/TCU. :D

actually both me and my wife accidentally went into neutral on the move.

I did it in a car park so my recovery is easy, I just brake while I am neutral to a complete stop. Then engage the gear and move off.

My wife did it on the road and she had to engage the drive while the car was moving... If you google, there are people who says it is not good to engage drive while the car is moving and everyone says it is perfectly fine to go into neutral while moving.

The main reason is that the rpm of your engine might not match the speed of your car if you hit drive on the move....

So ideally, if you hit neutral accidentally, no damage done. It is probably best to brake and stop while in neutral if you can do it safely.

Actually that is the worst Coe price u can get....

I got my cat a Coe at 50.3k rebate at 50k..... similar situation. No rebate, lowest possible Coe price.

Worst COE price? Next rounds may be higher as my car will only be delivered April/May. Who knows? Of course, previous bidding rounds COE's were lower so I was expecting (hoping) for rebate. Anyway, it is what it is. Life goes on..

Actually saw my COE bid and C&C put in a reserve price of $54,608. Yup it's done, hope to get my car soon.

I got my COE this round too. Delivery also April/May.  The reserve price same as yours. The only difference is my rebate level is 35k NG 6 bid.

According to the gurus in the forum, AD/Dealer earn maximum at rebate level or near it.

Anyway, there are nothing we could have controlled, not even the SEs have any say in the CnC Coe bidding "machinery".  Got your COE already just wait patiently and enjoy your new ride. No point being hung up on these things anymore

I was just saying from the price point of view. U know that securing a higher Coe price above your rebate level is beneficial to u if u sell the car.

Other than that, I was happy that I secured my Coe quickly too on the first bid. I think I got my car within a month of placing the order

Anyone whose car delivery date is April / May but C&C has not yet bid for their COE?

The car hasn't arrived, so it's ok.

You worry if they keep bidding and they can't get it.

No sense for them to bid high now since the COE is going up.

The other bros bought last year..

What car did you buy?

No, the car will explode into small bits if you put it back to drive.. you have to coast until the car stops and shift..  [:p]

As a fellow Merc owner, I don't know what are you worried about bro?

How else will we correct it if we go into neutral  [laugh]

I thank the Lord and the mods for the ignore function. Wonderful invention they should use in the UN.. world peace..

In modern cars today, there are many safeguards in preventing serious error. If not, they would have fail basic design requirements. One fine day, I accidently press 'Park' while on the move (actually wanted to use wiper [crazy] - wrong side lol). The computer simply pops up and say 'You can't do that on the move'. Then life goes on ....
